This is our church! I just started coming here with my partner. From day one, everyone was so warm and welcoming. You can really feel the love for Jesus and each other here. We actually just got baptized here today! You can sign up to get baptized during any of the three services held on Sundays. They offer an 8:30 am, 10:00 am and 11:30 am service. The community is so supportive, the topics discussed are heartfelt, relatable and honest. The worship team is great and every single person we've met whether they are staff or just a fellow attendee has been full of love and welcoming. I highly recommend coming here! There is no feeling of judgment, intimidation or awkwardness, just warmth, joy and acceptance. Everyone really comes together to worship here as the family of Jesus and we are so grateful and happy to call Arise our church.
Matthew 25:34-45 reminds us: "For I was hungry, and you gave me food; I was thirsty, and you gave me drink; I was a stranger, and you welcomed me..." Recently, a well-known member of our community was on his usual walk, highlighting areas neglected by local businesses, community and government. As he passed your church, he was approached by one of your members named Sawyer ( last name unknown)who asked if he needed help. When he said yes, he invited Sawyer to walk with him to show where assistance was needed. He wanted to understand how the church supports those struggling just steps away from its sanctuary. Following him, Sawyer was introduced to a homeless person living in a tent, surrounded by trash. The community member asked if they could minister to this individual, but the church member(Sawyer) declined, citing their own issues and expressing concern about being recorded. Instead of helping, Sawyer chose to return to the church. The community member agreed to turn off the camera to focus on helping. However, about half an hour later, he resumed a live broadcast, seen cleaning the area alone, without support from the church or the member (Sawyer) that he had spoken to earlier As a woman of faith and a servant of the Lord, I was disheartened by the resistance from the church member and the reluctance to reach out to those in need so close to your place of worship. The principles God instills in us as His servants should compel us to address the needs of all people. I recognize that the homelessness crisis is significant, especially in Colorado's rising economy, but I would expect the church to take an active role in addressing these challenges. I commend the community member for returning to clean up the area, demonstrating unwavering dedication despite resistance. As a community, we will advocate for our city and higher officials to address issues of mental health, homelessness, and environmental concerns, even in areas outside our own neighborhoods. Ignoring these needs could lead to larger issues affecting many more. I hope this serves as a motivation for the church to consider how outreach can extend beyond just Thanksgiving and Christmas. Thank you for taking the time to read this. I pray that your outreach ministry will review its outreach practices and do more within your own neighborhood.
This church has been my safe place and sanctuary for most of my life. I came to Arise during a time that I was in desperate need of family, and I've found my home at Arise. The staff here is superb-- they care deeply for the community inside and outside of the church. They've helped myself and the community around me more times than I can count. I am grateful to go to a church that is ready and willing to respond and care for community needs. I love our passion and dedication to help people follow Jesus through building relationships with the people around us. If you're looking for a Bible- believing church that's Jesus-centered and community- focused, i promise you'll find a home at Arise.
My family and I love going to Arise Church Denver! We have attended this church since moving from South Africa to the USA five years ago. We have had a great experience at this church, and it has become more than just a place of worship—it has become a home for our family with a strong community that shows love and kindness. The worship, led by Pastor Sam, is awesome and offers opportunities for everyone to get involved. I am thankful to Pastor Matt for keeping God's word at the center with solid Scripture; his preaching is outstanding and keeps me engaged throughout the entire message, and it is biblical. My kids are always happy and welcomed in the kids' ministry with Brenna and Pastor Sawyer for their kindness. Arise Church Denver has been a blessing for our family and God's answer for us. God bless!
My daughters are both members at Arise Denver. I live in Michigan. I look forward to worshipping at Arise every time I visit. The minute you walk in the door, you are greeted like family. Their love for Jesus is evident in everything they do. The services are so uplifting, the music is fantastic, and the sermons are so thought-provoking. Everything is centered around the word of God. They actively seek lost souls and bring them into God’s family. If you are searching for a church home, I definitely recommend Arise Denver.
