St. Wilfrid'S Episcopal Preschool

As parents who have entrusted St. Wilfrid’s Preschool and Kindergarten with our children for nearly a decade, we can confidently say this school has been one of the greatest gifts in our family’s life. When we first moved to Huntington Beach over 10 years ago, we were searching for the right preschool for our oldest son, Nico. Another highly recommended school had a long waiting list and, to our surprise, they told us their best recommendation was St. Wilfrid’s. We visited, met the director at the time (Debbie), and immediately noticed how warm, clean, well-organized, and welcoming the environment was. We took a chance, and it ended up being one of the best decisions we’ve ever made for our children. Nico attended TYKE and then the very first kindergarten class St. Wilfrid’s offered. The foundation he received there set the tone for his entire academic career. Today he is a straight A student taking AP and college-prep courses, and we truly believe the roots of that success began at St. Wilfrid’s. Now our younger son, Tommy, is walking the same path. Under Peggy’s leadership and with the incredible teachers on staff, the school has continued the same culture of love, structure, and excellence. The classrooms feel like a family. The teachers are bright, caring, and truly invested in each child. Our boys have always felt safe, supported, and excited to go to school. The academic program is exceptional. The kindergarten student-to-teacher ratio is something you simply cannot find in public school...where one teacher may have 30+ students. At St. Wilfrid’s, every child receives the individualized attention they deserve. Tommy is thriving, reading well beyond grade level, and will likely enter first grade performing at a third grade level or higher. That is the level of preparation this school provides. Beyond academics, the communication, community, and security have all been outstanding. The school keeps parents updated daily through their app...photos, progress updates, calendars, reminders, everything in one place. The campus is safe, gated, and secure. And the events: Christmas performances, fundraisers, and especially the annual Trunk-or-Treat create genuine community and memories our family treasures. We have trusted St. Wilfrid’s with both of our sons, year after year, because every experience has reinforced that this is a place where children are truly known, cared for, and set up for success. If we had another child, there would be absolutely no question where they would go. Our family is deeply grateful for the impact this school has had on our boys and on us as parents. St. Wilfrid’s is an A+ program in every way, and we recommend it wholeheartedly to anyone looking for the best possible start to their child’s education.
