Located in a lovely neighborhood just off a busy avenue. It's a good looking church from outside with limited parking (mostly street parking). In the main entrance, the baptismal font is open/full . The first thing that struck me when I walked in was the organ pipes where the altar is (or should be). No Monstrance or Tabernacle in sight, and the crucifix blends into the pipes. I have mixed feelings about this. There are very nice stained glass windows. Turns out the Tabernacle is in a small chapel behind the organ pipes, entrance to the right. Sounds travel well, people walking about and talking loud made it seem irreverent (not talking about children, but adults). Not really a fan of the building, unlike the beautiful St Joseph's downtown or Our Lady of Sorrows across the highway. What was impressive, is how active this Parish is, with 23 committees, KOC, men's ACTS, school, etc. I haven't seen a church so full since before COVID. People of every age, and everyone was so nice. Fr Jorge & Deacon's voices were clear all the way to the back, and Fr Jorge is a good orator. A lot of singing and music (not really a fan of every prayer being sung). I wish other Parishes were as active and their Shepherds as interested in their flock.
Lots of sacraments offered and lots of activities and opportunities to get involved!
They help all those that need assistance with food, bus passes, in some cases assistance with rent & utilities. It is down the driveway of the church’s parking lot. St Vincent de Paul pantry Mon-Wed-Fri from 10AM-12PM
Highly recommend this church! Not only because of masses but also because there’s always something happing at the parish. Lots of activities and groups to join. It’s great for all family types and all ages. Highly recommend to anyone new to the area, passing by or just interested in learning more about the Catholic faith.
This church is serenely beautiful and calming whenever I attend for reconciliation. God's presence is here. Parishioners are respectful of others and don't mumble, laugh, or chatter between masses while others are praying. The priests are very kind and sincere. This parish is one of my favorites.
