We are so pleased with our experience at St. Peter Macomb. The community, pastors, and teachers are such a blessing. The school emphasizes respect, strong academics, and above all faith. The class sizes are smaller than average with only 2-3 classes per grade. There are clubs, sports, and academic programs for everyone. I think the biggest indicator of the quality of the school is my son loves going.
St. Peter has an amazing community pertaining to both the school and church. The pastors give heartfelt Bible-led sermons and are great with the children. The teachers are knowledgeable, loving and passionate. As the school expands, the class sizes remain small. The school is growing their academics, electives, and athletics. Very happy as a church and school member.
I am a 2004 St. Peter graduate and my oldest will soon be a 2027 graduate. I loved the school then and I love it even more now. The entire staff including the Preschool, Dayschool, and Church are amazing, kind, caring, and fully invested in providing the best Christian education possible. The campus is safe and feels like family. Many ways to become involved with the church and school.
St Peter is a great place to raise your family, both on the church and school side in faith. On the school side, when I was in high school I attended Lutheran North. I didn’t go to St Peter for K-8, but back then I was shocked how well the kids from St Peter did on standardized tests, GPA, and eventually what colleges they attended. I decided to send my kids to St Peter and I’ve been really happy with many aspects of the school. The class sizes are very small compared to other schools which allows more one on one teacher/student time. Easier to get help after school. The math teacher for my daughter freely gives out her cell phone number to students to call if they get stuck at night. I like that they teach respect for adults/teachers. I like that they ask the students to be kind to everyone and love your neighbor as yourself. Overall, it’s a wonderful community and focused on Jesus. On the church side, they have church services (mass) with both traditional and more modern. The traditional service has an organ, piano, and sometimes extra instruments like hand bells, a wonderful choir, trumpet, etc. The modern service has a full band. The band sounds great and the lead singer and ensemble/support singers are all very talented. The Pastors are all friendly and don’t talk over our heads. Church services are normally about an hour. The Youth Group get togethers are also spectacular and welcomes both St Peter kids as well as kids that go to other schools. Again, it’s a great place to raise a family in faith!
We started at St Peter when my oldest was in preschool back in 2018. Making the decision to continue our children’s education at SPL was the best choice we have ever made. We have grown in our faith as a family and my children all thrive academically. The teachers are heaven sent! Through the years the school has grown and have have the opportunity to expand their current building. We are very excited to see the new addition and how we will grow together as a community. The faith and family feel is unmatched. We couldn’t imagine being anywhere else.
