St. Mark'S Nursery School

We truly love St. Mark’s Cooperative Nursery School and feel so grateful to have found this hidden gem! The program is led by certified teachers and thoughtfully designed around a play-based model that supports social, emotional, and academic growth in a developmentally appropriate way. Mrs. Testa and Miss Megan are incredible—loving, caring, kind, patient, and deeply attentive, fostering an environment where each child feels seen and valued. Special Days are an opportunity for parents and caregivers to be a part of the magic in the classroom, creating a strong sense of connection and trust. The enrichment program and extended day opportunities are a huge plus, offering engaging activities that genuinely enhance the children’s experience. St. Mark’s also offers spacious indoor and outdoor playgrounds so they can stay active and explore year-round. Weekly music classes with Miss Krysta are another highlight! Most importantly, the focus on social-emotional development has helped my son build confidence, kindness, and independence, while preparing him for the demands of kindergarten. We couldn’t recommend St. Mark’s more highly.

I can’t say enough great things about St. Mark’s. Finding a pre-k program can be overwhelming but they have been so kind, helpful, and informative throughout the whole process. My son is in the 3’s program (this is his first school experience) and he absolutely loves it! His teachers make learning fun and show him so much patience and love. In addition, the whole staff is so welcoming and helpful with any questions or concerns I ever have. If you are looking for an engaging, academic, nurturing, and loving atmosphere for your child, St. Mark’s is truly it!

We’ve had a wonderful experience ar St. Marks! It is a truly loving, caring, and nurturing environment, and it has been such a good fit for my daughter. The teachers and director are kind, patient, and genuinely invested in the children’s development. They are very accommodating and attentive to my daughter’s individual needs, which has made a huge difference in her confidence and happiness. The cooperative experience is truly special as we all know how quickly these years go by. Even as a busy, full time working mom of two I am able to be a part of my daughters school day. I feel reassured knowing she is safe, supported, and well cared for every day.

This school truly feels like home. It’s a warm, beautiful program that has helped my son grow and flourish in every way. The teachers are absolutely wonderful — you can tell they genuinely love what they do, and it shows in how they care for the children every single day. My son has been there since the 2s separation class and is now in Pre‑K, and I couldn’t be happier with his experience. My daughter is currently in the 2s class and will be continuing into the 3s because we trust this community so much. It’s a lovely environment with a supportive staff, a real sense of community, and the best teachers. You won’t regret choosing this school!!

They are not only highly skilled and knowledgeable but also incredibly caring and patient. They know each child well and take the time to understand their individual needs, which makes all the difference in the world. Another thing I love about St. Mark’s is the strong sense of community. The staff, parents, and children all feel connected, and as a cooperative environment, the nursery encourages collaboration and involvement, which is especially great for new parents. As a parent, I feel supported and appreciated, and it’s easy to get involved in school events and activities. There’s a real sense that everyone is working together to provide the best possible experience for the kids. St. Mark’s places the children first in everything they do. From the way the teachers interact with the kids to the way the nursery is organized, everything is centered around creating a positive and nurturing space for children to grow and learn. My son is in the 4s this year and loving every minute while preparing for Kindergarten, and I can't wait to watch my daughter thrive in the 2s next year. I cannot recommend St. Mark's enough!
