I cannot say enough good things about St. Mark's. Both of my daughters have gone here for years and they love it. Their teachers are fantastic, the tuition is very reasonably priced, their classrooms are very clean and organized. They also have the option of your kids going two, three or five days a week. I highly recommend this school.

St. Mark's in the Valley Day School is a wonderful environment for your toddler/preschool age child. My daughter was there all three years and loved it! The pueblo style architecture nestled in the north valley was very welcoming, home like and safe. I chose this school because of it's mission of inclusion and diversity.....my daughter came to know tolerance by meeting children from different backgrounds and abilities. I especially liked the weekly field trips. It was wonderful in opening up the world to my daughter and fostering her sense of wonder and curiosity. I also liked the practical side of the hours they are open(7am-5:30pm) and that they provided all the food(lunch and snacks). When my daughter was in the Turtle Class and potty training, her teachers' help in this area was instrumental.

My Daughters ages 2 & 4 attend St Mark's in the Valley. I am so thankful everyday that I got to meet Miss Tory and she turned me on to St Marks in the Valley. The teachers , the atmosphere, the curriculum and the actual School set up is really just great. I still drive in every morning and say how lucky myself and girls are to be a part of this school. Great for early childhood education. My Girls love going to School and love there Teachers Ms Michelle, Ms Claire , Ms Rachel and Ms Kim. Thank you all for what you do , Its hard as parents to have to leave our young children somewhere and you make it a great place for children and the parents! THANK YOU

My two sons, ages five and two, attend St. Mark's. Nestled in the midst of an unassuming, quiet neighborhood, the campus offers convenient freeway access coupled with the serene, natural charms of valley life. The education my boys receive is further enriched by the field trips upon which the school's classes frequently embark. A parent's first priority is the safety of his child. Many schools do this well and St. Mark's certainly meets the mark in this simple criteria. What sets St. Mark's In the Valley apart is the attention this school and its teachers give to personal development- especially emotional and social. I have little doubt my kids will emerge from the school system in a few years able to solve for 'x', employ the oxford comma, and recite the stages of mitosis. That's all very well and good, but what I love about St. Mark's is its focus on equipping my boys to handle big emotions. How do we validate and express our feelings in ways that don't harm ourselves or others? How can we use our words to express how we feel instead of our fists? As I peruse the list of staff and teachers on the website- teachers I've gotten to know day-in and day-out as I've dropped off and picked up my boys for school and interacted with during field trips- I'm impressed by how many of them have pursued or are currently in the process of pursuing educations in early childhood development. This isn't simply a job or a hobby for them. It is plain to see that, for those in the classroom, this is a profession and- more importantly- a calling. There is so much more I could cite (the joyful chants ("SANTA FE! SANTA FE!") of the children celebrating the passing by of nearby trains; the arts emphasis my five-year-old receives from Mr. Jay; the lovingly prepared meals and snacks courtesy of Chef Kenny; I would love to mention and appreciate each and every teacher by name...) but suffice to say, my wife and I are thankful for this school, its administration and staff, and for the opportunities they provide for our children when we can't be there with them during the day. Thanks, St. Mark's in the Valley Day School!

St. Marks In The Valley Day School is a great school! The only place I trust my children to go. I myself went to St. Marks when I was just a little girl, and loved it so much I brought my own children to this school. My oldest daughter went there from age 2 to 5 years old. My youngest daughter goes there now and is about to graduate here in May, she has been at this school since she was 2 years old and absolutely loves it. We are going to miss it so much! I actually had to try other daycares for my youngest before she turned 2. We tried several different daycares and didn’t like any of them, they were very dirty and the staff was just not caring like the St. Marks staff. As soon as my youngest turned 2 we had her enrolled at St. Marks, even though I have to drive her all the way across town from where we currently live to get her there. I feel it is definitely worth the trip to know that my daughter is very well taken care of. Now whenever I drop my youngest daughter off at school my oldest daughter says she wishes she could stay with her little sister because she misses going there so much. Now that’s a good school if your children have such a lasting impression that they wish they could go back, speaks for itself. My nephew and several of my friends have also sent their children to St. Marks and they all agree that no other school compares to this school. It is not like a daycare it is an actual school where they have a daily curriculum which continues to stimulate the children on a daily basis. The environment at this school is very home like. They cook their own healthy food from scratch and the school is nestled in a nice quiet neighborhood, which is very comforting. In response to the review about the recent field trip to Chick-Fil-A, I was at that field trip as a parent chaperone. The teacher’s handled the situation the best they could. When we arrived at 9:30a.m the children were very well behaved and were waiting very patiently, but there was some sort of mix up and the Chick-Fil-A was not ready for us. The children all had to wait a very long time before our tour began. By the time our tour got started the children had already waited close to an hour which feels like forever to children. Once the tour was done the teachers had the children sit down to eat a snack. By the time the children were finished eating the Chick-Fil-A started getting very busy and crowded, but the teachers had already promised the children that they would let them play in the play area once they were finished eating. They also needed to burn off some steam from waiting so long. One of the children got upset so one of the teachers had to take him outside to calm him down. We continued to let the rest of the children play for a bit. Then it got way too busy and people were snarling at the children and we could just feel a bad vibe which I’m sure the children felt as well, so we got the children ready and left the Chick-Fil-A. On the way out one of the children did trip, but got right back up and was perfectly fine. It makes me sad that someone would give this school such a bad rating over one bad field trip when they know absolutely nothing about this school or the situation that was happening. The school nor the teachers had control of the way this trip went. All they could do was handle the situation at the time the best they could and try to make the children happy, which they did. I have been to several field trips with this school including one to this same Chick-Fil-A just a few months prior and they all have gone very well.
