What Parents Say
St. Luke's Child Development Center receives predominantly positive reviews, with parents praising the caring teachers, educational activities, and safe environment. However, a few negative reviews cite concerns about special needs accommodation and internal staffing issues.
We absolutely love and are very thankful for St. Luke’s! The teachers are very kind and really know my children well-their likes/dislikes, personalities, etc. They have a lot of stability among their teachers too; many of my children’s teachers have been there several years. The Director and admin team is great too and do a great job communicating with us. They do the cutest activities for the kids and always go above and beyond with an annual picnic, the cutest Christmas show and a communal Thanksgiving dinner. They don’t close that often and clearly work hard to provide care even during inclimate weather. They have clean rooms with tons of developmentally appropriate toys and I feel 100% safe leaving my kids there. One small negative is some classrooms don’t have windows, but that’s v not really their fault - it’s a gorgeous, but old building. The leadership team, however, does do a great job making the facilities nice and really went above and beyond to raise funds and build a new playground recently (in addition to the amazing splashpad and 2 other playgrounds). Finally, my kids learned a lot there! When my older daughter started Pre-K, she was very ahead as she went in knowing all her first letters, how to write, etc. Thank you, SLCC! We are so grateful for your support raising our small people!
Our family loves it here! We go to the Edmond location and we haven’t had any issues since we started 4 months ago. Our son also really loves it here. It’s really nice knowing your child will be loved, cared for, and safe. The only downside would be the price, but we make it work given at how wonderful things have been.
This facility is wonderful for your child if your child is considered “normal” but a complete disaster for children with special needs. Don’t even get me started on how they treat their teachers. Ridiculously short staffed, clique based, ran by a director with minimal experience who was given the job by her senior director mother. I had the flu and was forced to come into work, risking the children and other teachers getting sick. The director would leave in the middle of the day to get her hair done while the facility provided her child with free child-care. If you weren’t part of the clique of favorite teachers, your suggestions, recommendations, and opinions didn’t matter at all. One special needs child was kicked out of the program because the facility couldn’t handle him. Low pay, low morale unless you were part of the few token favorites.
Our daughter loves it here. They do so well picking up at her school and bringing them back to St. Luke's. They always have her safety in mind- calling right away if we didn't let them know that we would pick her up that day from school!
Best day care ever. They really care about the kids and their need. I was really sad that I had to leave due to me moving a little far but this is definitely a great day care for your kids
