Let me preface this by saying we chose this daycare BECAUSE of the amazing reviews. shame on me for not asking for their certs and continued training; I have found they continually are in non compliance for training their staff. (This is public information so the owner can feel free to lie as usual). I will also say my child is NOT perfect and we are working on having her evaluated. So I am by no means saying my child is not difficult. HOWEVER if the staff was properly trained, paid adequately, and had enough staff to the wv licensing regulations of 1:10, my daughter might have stood a chance. Be aware that if your child is not a perfect child, or your child has never been in daycare they won’t succeed here. My daughter is 4. Started there 3 months ago at age 3. She got sick 1 m ago and the issues started. She regressed and started acting out. (Screaming /throwing herself on the ground, wanting to go home/ trying to run down the hall, not sharing, not able to always sit in circle time) some of these things are normal behavior for a child who has NEVER BEEN IN THIS SETTING. We have witnessed other kids hitting, yelling, crying, wanting to leave; not staying in the class on almost every occasion we picked her up. So my child was most certainly being singled out. We spoke to the teacher and the owner Ashley on several occasions about how we have made a doctors appt to have her evaluated. We mirrored our home to the classroom Rules, bought furniture to mock a classroom, we even sent her less hours to limit her time there while she adjusted. after my child got over being sick we were told she had “the best days yet” so we were happy that progress was being made. We went on our honeymoon and my parents had her, no issues were brought to their attention aside from her being upset and wanting to go in the hall. Two days after we came home, we get a letter from the owner stating starting in less than 24 hours, she would need to be picked up at 3pm “for her safety”. When I tried to speak to the owner about the unprofessional amount of time as working parents, she said “it’s in the note”. During a phone call the next day she proceeded to blame my 4 year old for her staff wanting to quit and being overwhelmed. My daughter was only there 3 months, and an issue for 1 month. We were not given the time to have her evaluated before her hours were cut! She then told me on the phone we needed to find other childcare. After I called her out on her lack of proper training/lack of staff being HER fault and not my 4 year olds, she simply said it was a “difference of opinion” and back tracked on saying it was my child who was at fault for her incompetence in running a business that was handed to her by her grandmother. My Childs first experience with daycare was horrible. She has emotional and communication delays that we wouldn’t have known prior because she was never in school before. We were given ONE MONTH and not even a chance for her to be evaluated before they removed her. During this month my phone was blown up all day long about how horrible my child was while I was trying to work. My mother and her friends are early childhood educators over 35 years. They were appalled by how we have been treated. They witnessed worse behavior, that they as educators had to provide the help for those children to amend their behavior through strategies taught to them through continuous training courses. They did not remove the child, they helped them and put the child’s best interest in mind, recognizing that it takes time for children to develop and learn to properly communicate and understand the classroom environment and expectations. In summary this daycare does not have staff with the proper education, moral compass, training, or staffing levels for children who are anything but perfect. While I proceed to have my daughter properly cared for and evaluated, I caution you to think before you send your child to somewhere that the owner only cares about money in her pocket and will play sweet on the phone and hide behind her fake churchly aura.

My son currently attends daycare there and did pre-k as well. I love everyone that works there and my son does too! He had been home with my boyfriend and I for 4 years so when it was time for pre-k I had a LOT of anxiety because you hear horror stories and it’s just hard to let other people care for your child. It was the best choice because my son completely blossomed, let wonderful friends and when I ask who his favorite teacher is he always tells me “all of them.” He will he going to kindergarten across town so our time is coming to an end and i may be having a harder time than my son about not going there anymore. The past year I have seen my son grow, learn and really advance socially which has been so amazing.

My daughter absolutely loved going here. She would get excited to go and although she was excited to see her dad and myself at the end of the day she always wanted to stay and play. With their assistance she was able to more quickly learn her colors and shapes. The staff was always very welcoming and kind. They all hated to see my daughter go.

I went here when I was a kid and they were all really nice people. There was a janitor who baked cakes for kids birthdays (prettiest and most delicious cake I've ever had. I wish I could just have one more.) They have a program for school-aged kids, too, where they go on fun field trips. Every parent will be given a code to enter at the door to take their child to or from the daycare so no bad people can enter.
