It was indeed an honor to attend the 78th Annual Big Brother’s Anniversary Worship Service with NAACP NYS Conference Membership Chair Gloria Benfield, NYS Conf. Secretary Claire Theobalds, the MidManhattan Branch new President Reid, Past Commandress of Medina Court No.11 Moretha Matthews and Acting Supreme Court Justice Machelle Sweeting. What a way to end Black History month—and set off Women’s History month. My walks in life have been many but walking within the authority of GOD cannot be undone. Choose Love, Forgiveness, Respect and Grace at every opportunity. Many Blessings to Rev. Dr. Scott. ~Retired Democratic District Leader & NAACP LIFE MEMBER
My friends Gabrielle Bird and Rachelle Bird grew up this church and i have had a couple of visits. Every time I go I receive wonderful service, great singing(especially from the children's choir) and whenever they serve food downstairs it is better than great. I would highly recommend attending this church especially considering all the love they have to give. -Cierra
This is a church with a heart for the community. The pastor, Dr. John Scott is an amazing historian and participant of the Civil Rights movement. His heart for the oppressed is genuine as it is for those of all social and economic levels. The people are friendly and I was well recieved there as the experience took me back to a simpler time in church when identity, intimacy and an sense of community were important.
They held an HIV event for women sat 3/16/19, had a Doctor speak & educated those on what to expect @ a doctor's visit. They also had credit counselor there.
I went to the temporary location of Wilson Major Morris Senior Citizens' Center. Nice little neighborhood caring people / full of grace. Wish more people would help support it.
