I want to thank St Johns Family Center for great service and courtesy. Nearly 13 years since leaving there living in Apt 4K at 1630 was a memorable 3 year experience. One thing I have a great time there was the summer camps and at one time hosting a block party and talent show which once held by the Family Center from the 90s through 2001. Since then they have not held any block parties excluding programs for almost 15 years. I can't blame them for using the resources such as adding another building to accommodate families which was open in 2003 on the empty lot space. Overall they are doing their best to help families more than ever. Looking back it really makes me feel bad despite the families who want to find a place to live in a good neighborhood. What former families should do is just give a little extra like hosting a block party or increasing funding for a summer camp and employment opportunities for the youth. I may not have the job but if I do one thing that I should done is save every single dime to give to The Family Center. I may not getting a building name after me, which to me would be awesome. At the same time if won't probably matter at all. What really going to help is seeing families who came here with little of what they have come out with everything they need to be on their own.
I will be forever thankful , they don’t play with their curfew though . PS don’t forget to ask for the 2k when you are about to leave to new apartment.
Came from Georgia with my kids , This Family center is extremely quiet , has good security guards and staff , My case workers have all been extremely kind and helpful , This facility is well managed .
Place is terrible when my mom and brothers first moved in to the apartment it was disgusting. My mom complained and they did nothing, it took for my mother to call 311 and then they shaped up once. There is no heat in the buildings and everything is just so depressing worst place ever smh.
