St. Johns Child Development Center

Zero stars if allowed. The church pastor bio says she prides herself on serving the community but yet she and their board met secretly to determine they are closing the daycare after 60 years. They are claiming financial hardships due to the pandemic but the program was full with waitlist so where is the weekly tuition going? Sounds like a supposedly nonprofit isn’t making enough profit. St. John’s daycare had well over 100 kids at 120$ a week. This board and their pastor told the teachers and the parents only 1 month before they plan to close. Every daycare in Anderson has at least a 2 month wait list. The wonderful daycare employees all of a sudden need new employment. Church members, parents, nor the teachers were allowed to be a part of this decision. Everyone has asked questions to the email we were provided with but yet this church admin will not respond. A parent asked for a meeting in person to gain understanding of this decision, she was denied and then the pastor turned around on Sunday and told the members we as in teachers and parents are trying to scare the church! Something is not right at all.

We are new here and so is Rev. Cooley and family. We love this church and felt so welcomed. We are here to stay and study together. Pat & Bob

Very friendly and welcoming congregation! Lots of community involvement opportunities and great church services.

I always feel welcome here. My kids and I have lots of opportunities to be involved.
