This is church. Pastor Sterling is an awesome teacher on the word. I grew up Baptist, never thought I'd be at an AME church. Don't let that scare or keep you away. It's worth stopping by to hear the word.
The Pastor is an excellent teacher, preacher, leader, mentor. The services are annointing. The Pastor opens his doors to all and is willing to meet you where you are. Saving souls is his main objective and he will often remind you he gave himself to to God to serve His people.
Called the church to inquire about the ministry and Pastors name. Whoever works in the office and answers the phone is not pleasant at all. Very short and had s slight attitude. This will cause people to be deterred from even visiting the church. That's ok. What happened to the love of Christ?
A special thank you to Rev Sterling, the ministerial, Tanya Gibson and the members of St. John's who welcomed members of the local Caribbean community during the celebration of Caribbean American Heritage Month. The Spirit is high in this Church. Pastor Sterling is a man that truly lives out the holy word of GOD through grace. The word is teached, preached, and the worship experience is welcoming.
