I can’t say enough about the St Helena Co-op. It is a WONDERFUL school, in the truest sense of the word. The program is in its 51st year and has touched three generations of local families. The staff is remarkably dedicated to the children, and bring kindness and creativity and guidance in equal measure. They are a fully inclusive school and welcome all children, regardless of any physical or social/emotional challenges they may have. You honestly cannot imagine a more magical place to share your child’s first school experience. Not only did my children form their first friendships there, but we as new parents as well, bonding through the shared experience of a parent co-op. Diving into the world of education can be intimidating. If you talk to any alumni from this school you will quickly learn that the co-op is a beloved part of their family’s story. When graduating seniors come back to visit their preschool teachers, you know they’ve done something right. As Maya Angelou famously said, ‘At the end of the day, people won’t remember what you said or did but they will remember how you made them feel.’
A fantastic little school. Experienced, incredibly knowledgeable teachers guide kiddos through a carefully crafted curriculum in multi-age classes. Classroom time includes lots of unstructured playtime in and out of doors, as well as adult-led art, science, and cooking areas. A true gem of a school!
We are a St. Helena Co-op family. Our kids (3) have grown into fun, knowledgeable, and caring individuals. The teachers, the settings, and the programs guide and encourage them to learn, explore, develop in their unique ways. Thank you!
