Children’s Learning Tree in La Plata has made incredible improvements over the past year under new owner Latevea Richardson-Carson. The center has a fresh new look, much better communication with parents, and a truly dedicated, caring staff. You can tell the focus is on creating a positive, nurturing environment for the kids. Highly recommend!
If you are looking for a non-faith center this one isn't for you. I found out that my kid was praying before meals. Non of the staff ever asked our family for our preferences/believes and assumed that we were okay with our child being pushed into Christianity religion. The staff rotation was very high and the workers didn't look and/or act professionally. Communication with the Head of School, Michelle, felt more like excuses than accountability. She was right though, this place wasn't for us.
This is one of the BEST learning experiences in La Plata. The owner Attie Ward is a very kind and knowledgeable teacher. She employs the best teachers in the area. If you have a child that is in the age group and need day care please give Attie a call for a tour of her facility. She is the best.
Both of my boys were dismissed from the center. I have two boys with Special Needs, and the center could not handle them. The center is fine if your children do not have Special Needs and I was sorry to have to leave. Still lookig for qualified child care that can handle special needs children.
