The best Roman Catholic Church Community in Spanish Harlem. Saint Cecila's is also a New York City landmark which is protected by law. Great African priests, of a great pontifical religious order. Finally, great New order!
Its beautiful. This is the family Church. My parents were married here. My sister and I were baptized and did our communion and confirmation here, my children were baptized here and just recently in May 2021, I was married here. I love this Church.
St Cecilia Church and school, what a beautiful church and community of people, back in the 50's and late 70's . Many great memories of my friends, nuns, and priest.

I attended St. Cecilia school (1955-1959): K-4 grades and 8 o’clock weekday & Sunday mass at the church. The school was located on 106 th Street between 2nd & 3rd Avenues. My name at that time was Linda Bennett. Both establishments embodied such pride as I wore the maroon uniform walking from the church to the school and home. I continued my catholic education at St. Matthew in Brooklyn, NY upon my mother’s passing🌹🙏🖤📕🎓
