Sprouts Academy

After we parted ways with our wonderful nanny several months ago, my husband and I couldn’t imagine a world where my toddler would receive just as good, if not better care. However, we can honestly say Sprouts Academy has completely over-exceeded our expectations! For someone who was once super hands on with her child’s daily routine (preparing nutritious and balanced meals, ensuring a safe and comfortable environment for playtime and naps, and thinking of fun and creative ways for my toddler to learn and grow), I was pleasantly surprised at how quickly I was able to let go, and place full trust in the Sprouts staff’s hands to accomplish all of those things. First impressions are everything - immediately following our tour of Sprouts Academy, we enrolled our son with zero hesitations. Ms. Linzi greeted us promptly at our scheduled orientation time, answered every question on my extensive list, walked us through the daily routine, curriculum and protocols, and was extremely responsive following our tour. We were so impressed by the warm and inviting environment, experienced and tenured staff, and close-knit Bright Horizons community, that we chose to enroll our son at Sprouts Academy despite there being an even more convenient daycare option near where we live. We wholeheartedly do not mind the extra commute, because we feel confident our son is in the absolute best, fun, clean, and enriching school in the city. Ever since our son started at Sprouts, he has hit so many milestones, made so many friends, and developed such a fun and silly personality. We receive regular updates and daily reports through Bright Horizon’s app for parents, which include timestamped details about our son’s meals, diaper changes, nap time, and photos associated with that day’s activities and curriculum. As a working mama, I always look forward to the updates and photos and feel as though I am still connected and present with my son throughout the work day. Communication is KEY for me, and Sprouts provides multiple touch points beyond the regular updates and daily reports via the App. At the end of the week, my son’s teachers will email out a fun Weekly Newsletter that recaps focus areas and highlights photos from that week. At the end of each month, the Director will email out the following month’s menu (breakfast, lunch, and snack are all included in the tuition - so say goodbye to meal prep)! Additionally, there are monthly calls where parents can dial in and review upcoming events, friendly reminders, etc. Lastly, they are EXTREMELY good about proactively communicating any reported illnesses, weather concerns, etc. I could not ask for more transparency and visibility and am SO appreciative of the staff’s attentiveness. A HUGE thank you to Ms. Linzi, Tracey, Destiny, McKenzie, Meredith and everyone else who has now become family, for providing our son with THE BEST home away from home. Keep up the AMAZING work!!!

Aside from the space being functional, cute, clean and engaging, the staff is top tier. Sprouts Academy has an excellent curriculum but the teachers make it impactful. The daily schedule gives great structure for the little ones, and the staff actually does real STEAM activities. I'm so happy I found this place and always tell everyone about it.

This is a GEM for your children in Chicago. We have been using Sprouts as backup care for various days in the last year and think it is one of the best in town. - Very friendly and professional staff. Linzi, Tracey, the teachers are all amazing, warm hearted and very caring of the children. They respond quickly to questions and concerns - The center is very spacious, modern and updated. There even a mini gym downstairs for the cold winter days, plenty of space. We have seen other centers where the children are literally confined to a small space during inclement weather - Outdoor activities is a blast - garden, playground all are amazing - Feedback and photos from the day that are emailed to you give you good progress on your child. - Finally, the classes that we have been in has a very reasonable teacher/student ratio. This means more attention. Again, we have seen other centers where it is very crowded Highly, highly recommend Sprouts!

Sprouts Academy provides excellent STEM Education and is a joyful playground for your children's growth. My daughter just spent one week getting used to this preschool and then loved her school life, learning a lot of new stuff from her supportive teachers and friends. My daughter missed so much teacher Destiny and her friend Lilliana. Linzi and Tracey are very responsive to all our questions. My wife and I love this preschool with an appropriate ratio of teacher and student. More attention to my daughter's learning behaviors and progress. My wife and I are really thankful for all teachers' and staffs' caring for and close interaction with my daughter!

Our son has been going to Sprouts Academy for almost a year now. We love this place. Everyone from the teachers, to assistants and administrators. Our child engages in fun activities that we never even imagined most schools would do. Also, his development in the last year is amazing. He's learned so much! We are moving in a few weeks and are sincerely upset he will no longer continue his experience at Sprouts. Keep up the great work!
