Sprouting Scholars Preschool

This school has lots of updated technology my child had been there for more than two years and I never met the director. The only time I would hear from her is if it was concerning money. She changed daycare schedules without notice, payment terms and got angry when asked to explain extra fees. There was never a problem with payment but because she didn’t want to explain the fees she issued a partial refund and told me my daughters things would be ready at the end of the day. At this point that was fine with me because I did not want my child somewhere where money was more important than her. In addition to her billing being inconsistent and adding fees without notice, and she changing the schedule when ever she liked without notice whether there was an emergency or not. Her facility is ran down I once witnessed a broken entrance door for more than 6 months and the center closed temporarily because her staff walked out because of the way they were being treated and the way the center was being ran. My child was never a threat and in fact was constantly praised by her teachers for her behavior and I had even seen video of my 4 year old child teaching class to the other students. Before leaving I noticed that younger kids were not separated from older kids, and my child was constantly getting sick and making everyone else at home sick. We had requested that her mask stay on and that has not been followed consistently. This facility in my opinion has potential the staff is great but in my opinion you should beware if you are looking for a facility that is ran by someone who is professional and cares about the welfare of your child more than money!

Our family loves Sprouting Scholars. We are so sad we had to move because they treated our little one like family, she learned SO much (grew a huge love for books), and they showed her so much love!! The teachers and director are so sweet! We highly recommend sending your little ones here, they are fantastic with communication and sending cute pictures throughout the day and our daughter kids was always so excited to go in in the mornings!

My 4 year old daughter attends this new daycare and is learning so much! She really enjoys all the activities, outdoor playtime, and most of all her teacher Mrs. Shauna. As a parent, I love getting daily updates and pictures about my daughter's day at school through the free Hi Mama app that Mrs. Shauna utilizes. In the short time she has been at Sprouting Scholars she has learned better penmanship, numerous basic Spanish words and can count much higher than she could while attending her previous daycare. For me, the difference between my daughters previous daycare (which was nationally accredited) and this new one is light years. Try it out for yourself (she offers a trial period for new families) and see the difference a small class size in a warm and inviting atmosphere can make on your child's education and development. I am writing this review because I am so pleased with the services I have received and would like to help spread the word about this new business.

I can't say enough good things about the staff at Sprouting Scholars Preschool. I had my two and four year-old there for four months in 2021 (and only stopped going because we moved out of state). While we were there, everyone we met at the preschool was incredibly kind, energetic and supportive of our children, their development, and their happiness. I loved getting updates throughout the day so I could see what the kids were working on, and the teachers did a great job mixing fun and learning to keep the kids engaged. The teachers also did an exceptional job regularly communicating with my wife and I about how our children were doing. The monthly calendar of activities, meals, subjects, etc. were accessible, well-thought out and easy to follow. Above and beyond all this, there was a real heart to the place. It felt like a community, and one I am really grateful we had the chance to be a part of.

We absolutely loved sprouting scholars and were so sad to leave when we moved out of durham! The director is amazing and the teachers were awesome! Our son was in the infant class and as a first time mom leaving your 3 month old it was very stressful but they made us so at ease! They sent so many pictures and videos throughout the day and updates all day long of how much he drank and when he slept. Best communication we could have asked for!
