My son has been at SBPA since he was three months old and we've had many positive experiences here. We especially admired Miss Aurora who took care of him first as a baby, with her many years being there I trusted her advice (as new parents I had a ton of questions). As our son grew he went to Ms. Betty's class and she was amazing, always providing great detail about his day and enthusiastic about being there. Ms. Nay Nay was next and she was excellent! You can really feel how she genuinely cared for all the kiddos from the way she read to them, listened to them, and guided them to be better little people. The school also have so many fun activities going on every week like fun bus, science experiments, Spanish class, music class, stretch and grow class etc that are all included in the curriculum. The school overall has incredible teachers and a supportive staff who communicate well to the families and it's a place where everyone knows your kid by name. I am truly going to miss this gem!
SBPA has been an incredible place for our family of three boys! My oldest started in 2021 in the infant class. It is always tough, especially with your first, to send them off, but SBPA soon became an amazing little community for us in the midst of the pandemic and beyond. They took really good care of my son and I knew we had made a really good choice picking this school for our family. I believe we have had most teachers at SBPA now having been there five years and counting with three kids! One thing that has been consistent in all the classes is how much they care for the kids. I really wanted a place where my kids would learn new skills but was a loving and nurturing environment above all. I really feel like the teachers CARE about my kids at this school and truly love them. They all know them and say hi to them by name even after they’ve moved on to other classes. The other thing that stood out to me as I got new class packets each new school year is how long the teachers stay at the school. Ms. Carmen and Ms. Aurora in the infant class, for example, have been there 19 and 20 years. They are truly baby whisperers and I have learned from them. They make great suggestions and it’s truly a blessing to have their expertise as I navigate parenthood. In the toddlers classes we have had amazing teachers like Ms. Betty who was our first toddler teacher and then Ms Liliana. Both so caring and set a great foundation. Ms. Tracei and Ms. Kesia in Turtles class helped my son as he started learning to write and start a more formal curriculum. And in PreK Stars (prek4) with Ms Jessica, Ms citaly and Mr Ben it was amazing to see my son’s growth over the year! At the beginning of the year I had some areas I hoped would improve for kindergarten and they addressed them fully spending time with him 1 on 1 to help him improve. By the end of the year his growth was astounding and I attribute it to how much they helped him in the class. When my middle son had Ms. NayNay as his toddler teacher, he would come home and use skills he learned in her class to calm down. NayNay and Sara also helped me with some techniques when we had challenging behavior that really helped at home! Ms Jackie, Ms Michelle and Ms Vicky all took great care of my middle kiddo and he will still stop by their classes or see them in the hall and say hi to them. Aside from the fantastic daily teachers, there are great additional resource classes at the school like spanish, music and stretch and grow. Kids have plenty of time to play, have fun, make friends and just be kids too! The facility itself is well equipped with gym, newly installed playground equipment, fellowship hall ect. and it is very safe with updated safety system. They also create opportunities for families to connect and spend time together outside of the class through things like the trunk or treat and afternoon Idea Spring series where they bring in speakers and do special presentations (Houston Arboretum animal presentation, magic shows, ect.) Admin is so supportive as well and I have seen them step in to help and really support the teachers. I feel like we got so lucky with this school and community. From the teachers to admin and other parents and kids, we have been really fortunate to be here. We as parents have learned a lot of techniques too from the teachers about skills we can use at home to be better parents. It’s bittersweet my oldest son is leaving to go to kindergarten but so happy he will have familiar faces as we have chosen to have him use the school for aftercare and our younger sons will be at the school still too! I would highly recommend the school to anyone who wants a safe, loving, supportive environment for their kids. Thank you, SBPA, for taking great care of my kids all these years and helping them grow into good individuals.
We absolutely love and recommend SBPA. Even though my daughter joined the class late this year, after we moved to the neighborhood, and has only been with the Butterflies for four months, I have to say it has been a truly special experience. From her early photos and videos—where she was shy and often hiding in a corner—to now, when she won’t leave until she has hugged her dear classmates goodbye for the day, the transformation has been remarkable. At home, she eagerly tells me all about her wonderful friends and the teachers. We are so grateful for the friendships, the school, and especially the teachers for their genuine love and care. We love love love Ms. Nay Nay as she is always thinking of creative ways to help the kids grow and shine. Ms. Sara braids my daughter’s hair into a true princess style. And Ms. Eliza is always patiently waiting for buzzer finish pickup. Our daughter is in a thriving environment, and we couldn’t be more thankful. We’re so excited that she will be transitioning to the next class with her group of friends, though we know we will miss these amazing teachers so much.
Spring Branch Presbyterian Academy has been a wonderful experience for our family. The level of care and warmth from the staff has been incredible. It’s been truly fulfilling to watch our little one grow and thrive under the guidance of such dedicated teachers. The nurturing environment, thoughtful curriculum, and strong sense of community make this academy a special place. We’re grateful for everything they’ve done to support our child’s development.
Amazing teachers, administration and school! Everyone knows you and cares. My toddler walks down the hall hugging her former infant teachers and running to her current teacher. My son thrived and was admitted to a local private school, fully prepared. He returned for summer camp and had a blast! My husband and I could not be happier with our experience and the wonderful families we have met.
