What Parents Say
Parents praise the Sports Club at Bonita Recreational Center for its clean facilities, pleasant staff, good value, and well-maintained outdoor spaces including baseball diamonds and playground equipment. The facility offers adequate exercise equipment and amenities like shaded picnic areas. However, some parents report staffing attitude issues and note the lack of restroom facilities as a significant concern.
Underwhelming park for my 3 1/2 year old daughter. Rust everywhere, mold on some of the play equipment, and holes everywhere. Looks pretty dangerous, would not recommend
The park is really nice and looks relatively new. I like that's it's partially shaded by the near by trees. There also are quite a few shaded picnic tables that are spaced a part. I would have rated this place higher but there are no restrooms. This could be problematic if you have children with small bladders.
The actually recreation center is old and dirty and the people working at the center are obnoxious and that’s being nice! But they have a fabulous playground with newer equipment and my son loves to play there! Also, one of his friends had her birthday party there last weekend outside near the covered picnic benches and it was a great party! They need restrooms for sure that’s one thing that’s definitely lacking!
The staff does a great job of keeping the exercise room clean. It is spotless! They don't have a huge variety of machines, but it is adequate. They have a good covid-19 policy of cleaning the machines before and after each use.
If I was able to give the rec center 0 stars I would. Unortunately, 1 star is all I could give and 1 star is entirely too much. The facilities are old and antiquated, while the locker rooms are filthy. The staff working was rude and condescending. The rec center clearly neglects training its employees properly. Although I suppose the rec center isn’t responsible for teaching its employees common decency. Go to the YMCA or a local gym if you want to enjoy yourself. However if you’re looking to blow off some steam, I’m sure the front desk employee at the rec center would happily argue with you over nothing.
