Special Friends

I am the guardian of a client of Special Friends. She is a part of the day program as well as the residential program. We have been involved in multiple organization for special needs children and adults over the years (our daughter is an adult with physical and intellectual disabilities). SPECIAL FRIENDS is the best. It has dealt with our daughters needs with excellent facilities and, even more importantly, excellent staff and administrators. She is in a safe loving environment. Her behavioral issues has dramatically decreased and she is a happy, peaceful person. They have attended to her psychological and physical needs with compassion, experience, and excellence.

We have a client at Special Friends since the day program began. They are on the spectrum and have behavioral issues. The team has been completely professional and helped them with a behavioral plan that worked. They are so much calmer and happier!. We have not had such excellent help in twenty years. When they had a bump in their behavior, the staff suggested it was a medical, not psychological, issue, and Special Friends was right. After a few days of antibiotics their behavior went back to baseline. Our family is grateful for this amazing organization.

Special Friends is an amazing program for adults with special needs. They are very supportive in assuring that clients accomplish behavior goals and get their needs met. I appreciate the open communication that they provide to parents/guardians, this encourages a safe and secure environment for growth.
