My son went to this daycare for a year and a half and at first I thought it was the best daycare ever, until time went by. The owner Karen Bass is rude, disrespectful , and unprofessional. She is rude to her staff as I have overheard her on several occasions being rude to them and talking behind their back. For example, her employee Kizzy’s granddaughter attends the daycare and she has been heard saying how the child is annoying and all she do is cry, especially when Kizzy leaves the room. I have witness her in altercations with other parents based on how she speak to them and rude to them. She talks about her kids, her ex husband and everyone including me to anyone who will listen. Well this past Friday I told her that a friend would be picking my son up and she said “ok thanks” when I got my son from my friend I was greeted with all his belongings as well as a letter that said he was terminated effective today. There was no warning or reason, however she requires the parents to give a two week notice. I really believe this was retaliation because I told her I was looking for a new daycare for my son as her prices were too high and we kept bumping heads. It demonstrated a power move and put me in a bind as I work and now have to find child care last minute . She wanted to put him out before I removed him. It was also cowardly because she calls/text for anything minor but this which is serious… she says nothing and she had my friend sign a document that’s not legally binding when she picked him up. How does that work? She is not the parent nor did she enroll him . She didn’t want to face me that’s what it was. When I called her to talk about the situation she hung up on me and would not take my calls so I had to text her. I know others who have had issues with her and had to take their child from The daycare. I do not recommend anyone send their child to this daycare! Her level of unprofessionalism is like no other- now I see why she has to work at Walmart in addition to running a daycare because she doesn’t know how to properly run a business. She is a mean and bitter old lady! Stay away!

Karen is unprofessional. My daughter was always unhappy and hungry when I picked her up. The application process was unorganized, when you first walk in the front office is a cluttered mess. She requires uniform shirts and book bags for 1yr olds never mentioned in the handbook. Her communication is mediocre at best.

My child and I absolutely love this childcare center. Sparkle Touch Learning Ministry is like a family you can tell the owner and staff love what they do. Sparkle Touch is curriculum based childcare center my son not only participates in educational activities but also life skill activities. Parents if you are ever in the area stop by and check them out it will be worth it.

She does not know how to communicate effectively. Whenever you say something she does not like or agree with she starts yelling “this is my daycare” . The daycare is cluttered and messy and she does have enough rooms for the different age groups. I do not recommend!
