Kathy the owner is very disrespectful and unprofessional. The teachers failed to inform me about 2 separate incidents involving my 1 year old son. He also wasn’t eating the food prepared by them and lost 10lbs n 1 month. They failed to tell me that he was not eating until i asked them wat was going on because he dropped so much weight so fast. Kathy told me to come get my kids if that’s the case. Do not send ur kids here this is out of control. I’ll be contacting the BBB as well

My son is very worried about me, his mommy, leaving all the time. Even for 5 seconds he has a meltdown. The first day I dropped him off, I was so nervous, but the owner sent me pictures of my child playing and I called and asked how he was doing and apologized for being so worried and she assured me "you can call as many times as you want." Which I really appreciated. I have a lot of respect for this daycare. They took good care of my son, his diapers are not too full when I pick him up, he never came home hungry. When we drive by the daycare my 2 year old points to it like he wants to go back lol. It has gotten to the point where my child doesn't cry when mommy leaves. It's also reasonably priced. I'm very pleased and I will continue to bring my child to this daycare.

I will never recommend this place for any child to attend. The staff seems very unaware of the policies and procedures that the state implements to regulate the facility. They do not have a proper system set up to alert parents in a timely manner about their children, they do not teach but under 45 minutes out of the entire day of curriculum to the 2 year-olds, and they make lesson plans and do not follow them. First of all, my daughter has come home with flea bites on her legs and a big scratch on her left arm and there was no Band-Aid applied. This facility does not invest in the well-being of their students because they do not keep supplies that could prevent children from being potentially bitten by an insect while playing. There are no formal letters sent out letting the parents know that they appreciate their business and will do what it takes to help improve their children's development. There is no order here. When you walk into the building, you hear children crying (which is normal); however, they never stop. They do not teach discipline, they just let the children play. My daughter does that and more at home. Southwood will paint a picture that they do curriculum with the 2 year-old, but they do not. Before I pulled her out, my daughter threw up in class. The teacher, Amber, told my mother that a student told her my daughter looked as though she was choking. This situation occurred during the "curriculum" hour when the teacher is supposed to have full control. Why is it that she did not see my daughter choking? She did not have a definitive answer. I asked her if she took my daughter's temperature she replied, "I touched her forehead and she felt fine." What an elementary answer. This shows that this place does not have a system set up so that the parents are not worried sick about their child's well being. A touch on the forehead will not work. If you care about your children's cognitive development and the money you spend per month for services, DO NOT SEND THEM HERE.
