Southern Hills Early Childhood Program

Love it here! We have been here for several months after changing daycares and have had a smooth transition! The teachers have been very kind, caring and helpful. We have seen both of our children grow and learn so much since attending. We love that they go on field trips to the park and have splash days in the summer!! It’s great to know that they are able to run around in the big gym on bad weather days! It’s great knowing that our kids are in good hands when we are at work! Highly recommend

Choosing where your children will attend their first group/classroom experience is quite probably one of the most impactful, important decisions a parent can make. The facility itself, the curriculum, class sizes, teacher/student ratio, and who is the captain of the ship. From top to bottom every aspect of the decision will form your child's earliest memories. This is why I am taking my time to write this review for Southern Hills. My wife and I searched and looked and toured all around--and in that process we checked out Southern Hills. The first impression of a daycare/preschool is so incredibly important. Who meets you? Who greets you? Do they seem passionate? Do they like being their? Kids are sponges. They pick up on everything. The "vibes" of the people are what kids will absorb most. Perhaps the single most important influence on our choosing Southern Hills is their director: Samantha Dubocq. Her enthusiasm, joy, passionate, and energy radiated outward as she spoke of the children, the employees, the lessons...all of it. Leadership is pivotal. The person, and their personality, at the top will eventually trickle down into all aspects of an organization. Samantha is exactly the person I want running my children's daycare. Energetic, kind, and hands on, she was not off in a guilded office away from the students. She was not behind multiple assistants and staff. Quite the contrary, her office is immediately upon entering. Door open. Children go by and she smiles and waves. My son adores her. The assistants, the office personnel, the teachers and caretakers...all of them have been extraordinarily friendly and kind. Communication with my wife and I through their app during the day gives us the peace of mind to know our children are being well looked after. I focus on the people, their attitudes and demeanor, their personalities and their.."vibe"...because curriculum is going to largely be uniform anywhere for each of the early stages of pre k and pre school. But people? The people are the ones who are going to be comforting your child if they fall and scrape a knee. The staff are going to be the ones making your child feel included and welcome. It is all the employees that are going to be the ones who model the behavior and attitudes the children absorb. And it is the director, the leader, who is going to be the one who models and sets the tone for the entire facility. Samantha and her team are phenomenal. The staff, all of them, are why we chose Southern Hills. I hope this review helps other parents going through what my wife and I went through to give Southern Hills and their team a good look. We consider ourselves so fortunate to have them there.

Southern Hills Early Childhood Program deserves all 5 stars (and more)! Our son started over 6 months ago and we are so happy with his experience and growth. We are always welcomed into the center and sent home feeling great. The facility is clean and safe. Everyone is attentive and nurturing. There is a daily report for us - the staff is wonderful with communication. We feel safe leaving our son here because the staff goes above and beyond to make him feel happy, safe, and loved. Our experience has been absolutely wonderful!

My daughter has been attending this facility for the better part of a year and it has been such a positive learning environment for her. Her teachers have been amazing, always taking the time to keep me informed and aware of anything positive or challenging. She is normally a child who is shy to people outside family but she runs up to her teachers here and I love that. The director and assistant director have always been more than just administrators or people just work behind the scenes. They know every child's name and always go above and beyond to make you feel welcome or you/your child's needs met. I definitely recommend this program to anyone - it's not just a daycare it's much more than that!

We have 2 children that attend here, we’re very happy with everything. We get lots of updates and pictures and the staff communicates with us very well. The kids are happy and it seems like they learn something new every day. Highly recommend!
