We absolutely love Sonshine Preschool! Our children have attended over the years, and each one has had a wonderful experience. The staff provides such genuine care, creating a safe and nurturing environment where kids truly thrive. The education they offer is excellent—our children have all been well‑prepared and confident entering kindergarten. We have nothing but great things to say about Sonshine and are so grateful for the impact they’ve had on our family. Highly recommend!

Sonshine Preschool is amazing! Our daughter is 3 and loves attending 2 full days each week. She comes home with many art projects and is excited about playing with her new friends. Most importantly, she is able to quote scripture and is learning songs and lessons about Jesus. The staff is wonderful and our daughter tells us frequently that she "loves" her teachers.

I don’t believe Sonshine is a bad school—in fact, we loved it so much during our tour that we didn’t even visit any others. For context, my son had been home with me his whole life. No daycare, no pre-K, Sonshine was his very first school experience. He was placed in the 4/5-year-old class, attending two days a week. My goals for preschool were simple: help him socialize, prepare for Kindergarten, and most importantly, have fun. Unfortunately, that isn’t how things unfolded. On his second day, I was pulled aside and told he had a speech delay. I wasn’t overly concerned, he’s a young boy with a few typical pronunciation issues, nothing his pediatrician or I found worrisome. That same day, he told me he’d been put in time-out, which was surprising since his teacher didn’t mention it when we spoke. By the third day, I was told he struggled with transitions. I apologized and assured them we would work on it at home. After a week or so with no improvement, we scheduled a meeting. That meeting is where everything truly fell apart. They presented a typed list of generic “autistic behaviors” they felt he displayed, none of which described anything we see at home. I’m not pretending my child is perfect, but the way this was handled felt off and unprofessional. They also casually mentioned that he had been sent to the office every day since school started, information I had never once been told. For a child only there 2.5 hours a day, I would expect to know if he was spending part of that time in the office. Then came the most shocking part: they mentioned, almost in passing, that they had lost my son during drop-off and he had wandered all the way to GCA. That alone was enough for me to pull him out of the program. By the end of the meeting, they clarified that he wasn’t being “kicked out,” but that they “could not support him.” All of this is to say: if your child isn’t perfectly compliant or doesn’t have flawless speech, this school may not be able, or willing, to support them. This isn’t a “my child could never do wrong” situation. My son is a handful, and I fully acknowledge that. But the way this was handled felt extremely disappointing. We later had him evaluated through the school district and he is not autistic. The entire situation caused unnecessary stress for our family, and I wish things had been addressed with more communication and care.

Very exceptional preschool! We had the pleasure of having both Ms. Andrea & Ms. Dee for teachers and they were both phenomenal! It’s very obvious all the teachers here are very passionate and I personally appreciate that so much.

We could never say enough about Sonshine Preschool. We have loved sending our boys to Sonshine knowing that they are surrounded by loving teachers and staff members who care for them every day. The lessons that our boys learn at Sonshine, the activities they get to experience, and the conversations they have with us at home about their school- are truly wonderful. And finally, the Christmas program held at Sonshine ❤️… every single child is included in this beautiful production every year and it makes my heart just melt.
