Sonshine Express Preschool (Mountain Park Church)

From the moment you walk in to Sonshine Express preschool, you can feel how warm, organized, and child-centered the environment is. The teachers are exceptional—patient, loving, and incredibly skilled at helping each child learn and grow at their own pace. We have really appreciated how approachable the learning environment is--they teach the basics but it doesn't feel competitive or too uptight. Our family has attended Sonshine for more than 3 years and our two children have blossomed here both socially and academically. The curriculum is thoughtful and creative, blending play-based learning with meaningful structure. The school also does a fantastic job keeping parents informed with photos (via frequent text and email), updates, and clear communication. One of the teachers even hosts a monthly gathering to come along side parents offering parenting tips/advice and a space to ask questions as we journey through parenting together. The staff truly cares for the whole family and we feel truly blessed to be part of this community. This preschool is a gem and when our youngest graduates in two years it will be a sad day for our family.

We feel incredibly blessed to have had our 2 children attend Sonshine Express. From the very first day, the teachers made our family feel welcomed, supported, and genuinely loved. Their warmth isn’t just something you notice—it’s something you feel. Every teacher pours their heart into creating a safe, nurturing space where kids can grow, explore, and truly be themselves. Sonshine Express is beautifully Christ-centered in a way that feels natural, uplifting, and joyful for the kids. They weave faith into everyday moments, helping kids learn kindness, compassion, and gratitude while having so much fun. My kids would came home excited each day, full of stories, songs, and smiles. One of the things we loved most were the adorable events they hosted throughout the year. The Daddy and me night, the carnival, and the harvest party were all thoughtfully planned and made the kids feel celebrated and included. These special moments created lasting memories for our family and truly set Sonshine apart. The environment is safe, structured, and thoughtfully designed so parents can feel at ease knowing their kids are in the best hands. We saw our children gain confidence, build friendships, and grow both academically and spiritually. We couldn’t be more grateful for the time our kids spent at Sonshine Express. It’s more than a preschool—it’s a loving, faith-filled community, and we will always cherish our experience there. Highly, highly recommend!

Could not recommend this school more. My two sons went to school there from 2 years old to when they left for Kindergarten. Now they are thriving at Kinder and 1st grade and were so well prepared. Our kids were always safe and when we dropped them off I knew they were in the best care. I also appreciated how they handled conflict in the classroom and then shared tips and tricks to align with parents. What a great school and our boys have a great foundation in Christ Jesus.

Sonshine Express is an excellent school that values and sees each of their students. Our child has been loved, cared for, and taught with diligence the last two years. The teachers are incredible at what they do, keeping all learning age appropriate and very fun! Jesus is at the center of everything the do. And also, after teaching first grade for 9 years, I can confidently say they are not teaching first grade curriculum ;)

My son went to this school and was bullied by another student for a year and a half. It was brought to the attention of the teachers and administrators and they did not do anything to stop it. Even after we spoke with them on multiple occasions about it they did nothing. They are teaching a first grade curriculum to preschool children. Kids this age should be playing and having fun while they learn. The biggest thing at this age is to teach them to love school so they will do better in academics later. They claim that they are getting kids ready for Kindergarten but push academic learning so hard to it causes kids to be frustrated and not want to learn. This is what happened with my son. The only thing they actually taught him was to dislike school. Eventually he was alienated from the school and had to leave. We trusted them with the most important thing we have which is our children and they destroyed that trust. If you are reading this I hope you will not send your children to this school.
