My husband and I absolutely love Sonshine ELC. The teachers and staff are great with children. My son has been going to Sonshine for over a year now and he tells me he loves it there. One teacher that has stood out from the rest is Jennifer. Since the very beginning, I have noticed that she puts love into what she does. My son was a hard kid at first but Jennifer took her time with him and made sure he felt comfortable at school, away from mom. Thank you to all the staff and thank you, Jennifer. Keep up the good work!
The teaching and daycare staff are amazing, they took loving care of our kids. However, the church administrators are not. Our daughter wasn't allowed to go to the bathroom when they were outside, without one of the teachers having to herd 10 kids 300ft to an inside bathroom. This lead to her going to the bathroom many many times in her pants. I asked why there's no outhouse or additional staff for this and was directed to speak with one of the church administrators, who promptly told me to go back to the school staff and tell them. They're lucky my daughter didn't get a UTI or I would have sued them.
I had an absolutely horrible experience with this preschool. They lied to my child and myself and are completely disorganized. From the first week at the school, I was working to find a new place for my children.The teachers were lazy and would always be sitting at a desk looking at a computer or yelling at children when I came to pick up. The director himself told me that they had teachers who were fired for hitting children, losing them beyond the fence, etc. Luckily, my daughter had two good teachers who don't deserve to be left with a tarnished reputation but my son wasn't as lucky. I was saddened because the tour of the school went so well and I thought I had found a long-term solution for my children. Unfortunately, I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. The only real positives I could say about the school is that they worked with my schedule and my children were still alive at the end of the day.
