Sonoma Preschool Academy

Sonoma Preschool Academy is truly a gem in our valley. The lead teachers have been working together for many years, and their camaraderie creates such a warm, supportive environment for the children. Our older daughter attended for two years and always came home happy after days filled with learning, story time, art projects, and lots of outdoor play. We’re excited to send our two-year-old this spring! One of the things we especially appreciate is the weekly Friday email from the teachers. It includes a thoughtful summary of the week’s activities along with a large collection of photos. It’s so special to get that inside glimpse into their days at school. At the end of the year, we also received a big binder filled with our daughter’s artwork and projects. A wonderful keepsake that we’ll treasure. Sonoma Preschool Academy is a truly special place, and we feel very lucky to be part of the community.

SPA has provided a nurturing community not only for our son, but opportunities for a community of parents as well. The small size, and close knit community make the many school events and day to day learning a warm nurturing environment for both students and their families. The teachers always provide support tailored to the needs of our son, as well as open and direct communication about his education and development as a whole. I am so excited to see how he flourishes in his next year of education in elementary school, and am confident in how SPA has prepared him over the last three years.

Our family has had an incredible experience at Sonoma Preschool Academy. Our daughter has blossomed under their nurturing care. We have see such growth in her social and developmental skills over the year that she’s attended the school. The teachers prioritize learning through play, sensory experience and art. They are communicative, deeply creative and loving. I really cannot recommend SPA enough. So grateful to be a part of this school.

Our daughter has been attending Sonoma Preschool Academy for about a year and a half, starting when she was just two years old, and we truly could not be happier with our experience. As a parent looking for a great Sonoma preschool, finding a place that felt nurturing, engaging, and developmentally appropriate was really important to us. Sonoma Preschool Academy has exceeded our expectations. Over the past year and a half, we've seen so much growth in our daughter's language, confidence, independence, and social skills. We especially love that the school follows a play-based learning approach. The kids are constantly exploring, creating, and learning through hands-on activities instead of feeling like they're in a structured classroom too early. There is always art and creative play happening, and our daughter is so proud to bring home her projects and tell us about everything she did that day. Another thing we really appreciate is the communication with parents. Each week they send a full report with photos showing what the kids worked on, the activities they did, and highlights from the week. It's so fun to see what they've been up to and feel connected to her experience at school. The teachers are absolutely wonderful. They are warm, patient, and genuinely care about the kids. You can tell they truly love what they do. Honestly, I'm pretty sure our daughter loves her teachers more than she loves us some days, which really says everything about how safe, happy, and loved she feels there. Also worth mentioning for parents looking in the area: although the preschool is located on a church campus, it is not affiliated with the church, which we appreciated. Sending your child to preschool is a big step, and we feel incredibly lucky to have found such a special Sonoma preschool community. I would absolutely recommend Sonoma Preschool Academy to any parent looking for a nurturing, play-based preschool with amazing teachers.
