Song Bird Academy

Place was unsafe. Strollers were always broken. And our checks bounced all the time. Nadja was director and she was rude and mean to the kids. Also, employees were suppose to keep place clean as well.

Songbird has been a wonderful school for our two girls. The teachers and administration alike have been outstanding during an especially challenging time with COVID. The staff took the time to implement and explain all of the many safety measures they put in place to protect our community. We really got the sense that the kids were the top priority. As for the daily lesson plans, our daughters look forward to school every day! There's always a trip to the park, fun activities in class (with pictures and videos!), and new topics that they've learned for us to talk about over dinner when they come home. We really appreciate the focus on education, and their curriculum allows them to lean into whatever subject matters seem to be of most interest to the class. We're grateful to have Songbird in the neighborhood and are so happy we've sent our kids there for the last 2 years!

I would love to discuss what I witnessed regarding the treatment of the children at Songbird. Unfortunately, they make all employees sign an NDA forbidding them from talking to parents about ANYTHING that happens at the daycare, including internal policies and the behavior of teachers. Take that as you will... EDIT: Songbird has responded below saying they don't make anyone sign an NDA. I suppose no one is forced to sign, however it was part of employee onboarding paperwork.

Songbird has been a wonderful pre-school for our children. The administration is responsive and easy to work with, and the teachers are absolutely incredible. So kind, patient, and creative- the kids come home telling us great things about their days and with really cool artwork/projects. Even through COVID, they did their best to create a fun, exciting environment. Our son has a learning difference (ASD) and can be a little challenging for educators at times, and they have all taken the time to ask questions and get to know the tips and tricks that can help him. Highly recommend Songbird- it is a fantastic place for kids to learn and grow!

My son has been a student at songbird since he was 8 weeks old. I have never felt more at home nor could I ever recommend a place is highly a songbird. From the Hands-On management but both the team and the owner to the dedication to the children. When I had to send my child to daycare when he was 8 weeks old this was the only place that I felt comfortable in is more than just childcare but as a family and a nurturing environment for my son. he has absolutely thrived and I will recommend this business over and over again.
