What Parents Say
Most reviewers praise SO BIG CO-OP as an engaging, play-based preschool with affordable rates and caring teachers, particularly Ms. Mary. However, one reviewer reported serious concerns including poor classroom conditions, inflexible teaching methods inappropriate for young children, and unprofessional conduct by staff.
My daughter has been attending this school for a year and a half and she loves it! She has learned so much from Mrs. Mary, working parents, and her fellow students. The school is an engaging and safe learning environment. The low cost makes it the perfect early education opportunity for preschoolers.
This is a wonderful place for children to begin their journey! Mommys and Daddy's can still be close a little or alot. The curriculum is play based and very engaging to the children. I have had the pleasure of having my children be with Miss. Mary and Miss Linda. Two wonderful ladies who Make sure your children come First and learn how to navigate through the events of the day. It's great for the very social child, or the one who is still a little shy. The teacher make sure the kids do their "own" projects! Initialy that was quit challenging for me to learn:) My daughter loves this school so much she wants t to go back and help after she finishes school.
This is such a great preschool my son is doing so good and making so many great friends. Ms Mary is the teacher and so amazing with the kids I really recommend this school if you want a place you can trust where your kids are.
Dirty dusty classrooms. Poor teaching methods. Teacher expected 3 year olds to sit for 45 min for a story time. She was inflexible with the schedule insisting that her teaching during circle time could not be altered nor was the introduction of new better child development ideas allowed such as keeping circle time to a 15 min maximum for 3 yo children and not teaching about calendars and days of the week until children can understand that concept. Finally she often criticized parents to other parents consistently told parents the school board "was out to get her" and made statements that were derogatory towards several disabled children. The school itself is also not inclusive to all parents especially those with economic hardships.
My son loves this school, he is excited to go to school every day. He has flourished here and I am so glad we made the decision to attend this school
