Smithsonian Early Enrichment Center II-Nhn

SEEC is more than just a daycare, it is a school for infants through pre-K that offers amazing, fun and educationa excursions into museums, galleries and the community and hands-on learning. Even in the infant class my child was participating in music and art classes and visiting museum and art exhibits. My child has learned so much from his caring and knowledgeable educators, things I didn't know he would learn at such a young age! Not to mention, my child gets to go to school every day in a museum! It is a well-rounded program that focuses not only on early learning and physical development, but also emotional development as well. Friends of mine has remarked how well behaved my child is when we've gone on outings and I credit the wonderful work his educators have put into helping all their kids develop their social and emotional skills. The educators develop lesson plans for each week using early childhood education practices that are geared towards the children's interests and needs. The school also offers good and healthy food options with a morning and afternoon snack and lunch with lots of fruit, whole grains, and veggies that my child oftentimes eats even though the veggies aren't touched at home. The cost is comparable to other daycares in the area, but the experiences, lessons and activities it provides make it priceless. Even though free pre-K options are available to my family, we love what SEEC has done for our child that we are willing to pay more to give our child this amazing experience. As with any daycare setting, there have been some minor issues that have occurred, but the school has handled them swiftly and professionally. I could not recommend SEEC more!

I have had the privilege of having both of my children attend the Smithsonian Early Enrichment Center (SEEC), and I couldn't be happier with the experience. SEEC truly was a nurturing and inspiring environment for my children, fostering their love for learning and exploration from an early age. The dedicated and compassionate staff at SEEC went above and beyond to create a warm and supportive atmosphere where my children thrived. The unique curriculum, inspired by the Smithsonian's vast collections, provided my kids with enriching and hands-on learning experiences that were both educational and fun. I watched my children grow in confidence, creativity, and curiosity under the care and guidance of the educators during their time enrolled at SEEC. The emphasis on play-based learning, combined with engaging museum visits and creative projects, made every day at SEEC an adventure filled with discovery. I am deeply grateful for the positive impact SEEC has had on my children's development and highly recommend this exceptional program to any family seeking a high-quality early childhood education.
