What Parents Say
SLOANS LAKE PARK SUMMER IN THE PARK is a highly-rated outdoor recreation area in Denver featuring a 2-mile paved walking trail around the lake with scenic views of downtown Denver and mountains. All reviews praise its beauty, peaceful atmosphere, and suitability for families, walkers, runners, cyclists, and pet owners. The park is well-maintained and offers nearby amenities, though it can get crowded.
Such a lovely, serene park with a stunning view of downtown Denver, and the outlying mountain range as well. A basketball court on the north shore of the lake, and the walking/running/biking bath was wide enough for everyone. Several businesses close by if you needed to get some errands done after you've enjoyed a little exercise.
I used to love walking around Sloan's Lake until they started introducing scooters and bicycles. They go too fast, and they zip in and zip out around you, and it makes me nervous. They used to warn you and say' on your lef't or' on your righ't or ring theirBell,l but they don't even do that anymore. So I quit going there. I now walk at Crown Hill. I like the fact that they have a gravel path or a paved path and you can choose either one. People are more courteous over there they don't zip around you and ride at unsafe speeds.
Sloan’s Lake Park is such a beautiful and peaceful spot in Denver. The lake is stunning, with the mountains as a backdrop, and it’s the perfect place for a relaxing walk, run, or bike ride around the trail. The paths are wide and easy to follow, making it great for families, pets, or anyone looking to enjoy the outdoors. The sunsets here are incredible, reflecting off the water and creating a postcard-like view. There are plenty of open spaces to sit, have a picnic, or just enjoy the fresh air. It’s one of those places that feels like an escape from the city while still being right in Denver. Definitely one of my favorite parks for a morning walk or an evening stroll!”
Beautiful, peaceful, MANY people-walkers, people with pets, bicyclists, runners. No restrooms that I saw, pretty inconvenient. Otherwise, a great park with wonderful views!
Who doesn't love walking with their BFF around a gorgeous lake meeting other gorgeous people amd peys?
