What Parents Say
Note: These reviews appear to be for Shoreline Community College, not a daycare center. Reviews are mixed, with praise for the campus facilities, academic quality, and diversity, but significant complaints about staff professionalism and administrative issues.
Straight to the point - I do not understand why some of the staff ( for example the cashiering staff ) have attitude, make dirty faces, look and sound annoyed/ irritated, don't want to actually help you. You get paid, again **PAID** to help and support students ( new, current and returning students ). Some of the staff members there lack awareness, they don't realize that the institution they are currently employed at, won't get funded if it doesn't have a lot of students attending it and if a lot of people are not applying to it. Furthermore, the staff members won't get their salaries if not a lot of students are **PAYING** tuition at Shoreline Community College. Students don't attend colleges just to see and experience staff members lacking interpersonal skills, being unprofessional and uncompassionate towards them. Since this community college gets funded by the government ( local, state and federal ) , American Taxpayer's don't want to see their tax payer money being wasted on hiring or paying staff members who will not support/ help them and or their loved ones receive proper education fairly.
They're an administrative nightmare and they don't keep track of how their instructors are performing. In one of my current classes, the instructor is not grading and doesn't open module content in time. This leaves the students double stacking their work for a week the instructor actually decides to open stuff. There is no ability to escalate. It's a shame because this college is the closest one to where I live, but I'm having to travel out to actually get an education rather than a headache.
05/28/23: this CC has a beautiful campus with many trees, shades, and modern buildings around the campus. I visited it on the weekend so we could not get into any buildings but the atmosphere was great and comfortable. SCC must be lucky to live, study and work in this campus
Very nice school however the ladies in the administration office are very rude, unprofessional and unhelpful there’s no reason to have that kind of attitude you’re job is to help people not be disrespectful they honestly act like high school girls the school should have staff that are happy to help instead of people like that if the administration sees this please take a step back and think about your actions if you don’t want to help students don’t work this job and find a job that you don’t have to socialize because it’s just low to treat people that way. Very disappointing I will not be attending this school
When I signed up for school here they said our emails would be permanent and that we didn't need to worry about them closing them once we left the school. Now however they retroactively reversed their policy and have screwed me out of logging into many accounts and accessing information regarding my time here. Super frustrating and another example of the cheapening of our institutions.
