Shirley White Child Development Center

I have had my granddaughters at this daycare for 9 yrs and they have always been super kind, caring and the teaching phenomenal! I give it a 5 stars. My granddaughter still talks about Ms Madi being her favorite teacher. My other granddaughter adores her teacher Ms Debbie. They have had 2 teachers who have been there for 28 yrs. The best you could find!

Hands down the best daycare around. A true breath of fresh air. It really shows that these ladies really care about each and every child. My son loves going and for the first time he’s excited to go to daycare and learning new things everyday. As a mother I can finally go to work without worry. They answer any and all questions with an open heart and reassurance. So blessed and thankful to have found Children’s Choice.

THIS IS NOT A MONTESSORI SCHOOL!!!! Sure it’s the cheapest in the entire area but if you value your child’s safety and education then $150 a week is better spent else where. First off there is no one EVER at the front desk. Not once in the 5 months my child has been there have I seen anyone at the front desk checking parents in or checking IDs at pick up. They don’t have a sign in or sign out sheet. On multiple occasions my child has been picked up by someone other than my self and they have never been ID or even asked who they were. Second off No communication what so ever!! In my child’s classroom I was never informed they had children out with strep or the flu ,until I had my child at the hospital testing positive for strep and I called furious! I kept them out for over a week to be sure they were clear of it , they went back for 3 DAYS! I get a call my child isn’t WAKING UP and they can get them to do anything. I take them back to the hospital and they had the FLU and SEVER dehydration!! Hygiene is unheard of there. All the kids run around with snot all over their faces and coughing all over each other. Third when I picked my kid up and they have bruises all over their face and the teacher had no idea what happen nor have I ever seen this teacher before. I never know who is watching my child every week it’s someone new. Other side notes: the infant teacher is saturated with the smell of cigarettes at all times! You’ll never really know who the owner of the facility is. Teachers cuss around the children. There is no curriculum so you never know if or what they are actually teaching your child. This place should be closed down! Do not put your child in this facility!

Watching the teachers while they are on a field trip at the roller rink now and it is sad to see how they treat the kids and especially when some don’t know how to skate. All the teacher keeps doing is telling them to go away, go skate, go get out of here and skate. This is how she treats these kids in public, I can’t imagine how she treats them at the daycare facility without outside parents watching. Very sad. The good part is now she sees other parents watching her so she is changing her attitude towards the kids.

Shirley White Child Development Center is a family owned and loving establishment. As a teacher, I truly appreciate every one of the employees as they encourage learning, independence, and are always willing to help a family no matter the need. THANK YOU.
