Professional and kind-hearted owner. You can tell how much she cares about the children, their families and her teachers! Teachers are also well educated and they are so devoted to the children. Always lots to do and learn! My children have been attending for 6 years. They especially enjoy having activities in the gym, being on the huge outdoor playground, and helping take care of the classroom pets. I, in turn, am happy knowing they are in a safe place learning skills from loving people.
(Speaking from experience of going to this daycare).Went there for around 10 years and everyone who works there makes it very enjoyable for the children. They make sure all the children there are having fun and are always interacting with them and keeping them busy. I can say for sure that they make sure all children learn proper manners and are taught right from wrong. And now being in highschool whenever I see one of my friends that I always talked to we talk about how much fun we had growing up and go over all the memories we can possibly think of. I now have a niece and nephew who go to there and they love it there. I would say if you are looking for a place for your kid at almost any age this is a daycare they will enjoy.
First day dropping my son off and I see another child in his class with scissors in her mouth. When the teacher noticed she starting yelling at the child (2 years old). The place is not secure. Door wide open during drop off and pick up hours. Very unorganized , cluttered. These women here are mean to your kids right in front of you I would be scared to know what happens when parent aren’t around. This was our first day and was our last ; as the owner told me if I didn’t like her yelling at my son to find somewhere else. So that’s exactly what I will do. Do not recommend.
This facility is much more than a "daycare". This is a loving place where kids can be kids as long as they act like respectful, caring human beings. Kelly and all of her staff go the extra mile for every child AND parent that walks thru their door. Kelly will not "give up" on any family, regardless of how difficult a situation may be. We can't say enough good things about Kelly and her staff. They have helped us with our son when no one else would. She reassured us from day one that she would never kick us out of her facility and that our son would be taught the social skills he was lacking. So whether you have an angelic infant or a child with special needs, Shining Star is just that. They shine a light that brings you hope and comfort that your child is in the loving hands of people who are parents themselves and will treat your child with respect & love. This is truly a 10 star second home for your child.
I would not recommend, I went there as a child with my siblings, they shove food down your throat, send you home with bruises, and mentally damage kids. Poor sanitation and infested with parasites! Unprofessional teachers and administrators, who will deny any responisibility for the neglect of the children under their care. Stay far away from this place!
