This church is not what it seems. I have friend who attended there, due to his experience there he will not step foot in a church and hasn't in over 12 yrs. His relationship with God has been compromised. Many families have left shinning light over the years. Many have been broken and some even turned to drugs. There is a good man that used to attend Buddy Price. I hope he finally got his family out of there. The guy that they turned there back on was young and mostly ignorant to church ethics. He eventually beat the issues he had. First he had to learn he couldn't confess his problems away. This only kept him longer than he needed to stay. And secondly to take his eyes off all the fake super spirituality and the false power they tried to make him think the pastor had. No one is slain in the spirit there. It's simple, wasn't Paul changed forever on the road to Damascus? They actually compare what they are doing to Paul's experience. Are there lives changed at all? Do you really believe they are communing with God the creator? Don't buy into all this money preaching? Your motives for giving should not be to get. Godliness with contentment is great gain. Jesus said when you've done it to the least of these you've done it unto me. You don't have to buy this man a building. I could go on and on. Just remember you don't need to worry about being used by God. He will do so when you don't even know it. He's not really wanting to use you as much as he wants a relationship with you. Do you want to be in relationship with a user? This place will use you up. At the expense of your family. Simply put narrow is the gate. Don't get caught up in all the church trends, don't follow the majority. There are unbelievers, cults, and the few are the church. I you are following the majority you might want to rethink that.
I know this guy. He attended church there for about a decade. I totally agree with him. They need to drop the arrogance and stop acting like they are closer to God than anyone else. Faking like you are having experiences like Paul had is flat out deception and an obvious lie. If these things really happened to me I believe I would write a few epistles myself. In response to Drew, I hope you one day see the truth, but it is hard when you have been involved with this all your life. It was instilled in you before you could even think for yourself. I recently talked to this guy. That is not his real name by the way. You know him he was even once your teacher. He was my teacher as well. Forget all that ridiculous hocus pocus, look for love. He saw your post and in response he simply asked me how Brian and Niki were doing. He talked about what a pleasure you and Baker were and how much he missed the people he once believed was his family. I asked will he ever get involved with another church. He said he could never open his self up to others like that again, He told me his heart breaks when he remembers, I'm truly worried. PS. I am not the Mark that was married to Lisa.
It is a blessing to be with my church family and have the fellowship that we have.
