My daughter and I absolutely love Sherman Oaks Presbyterian Nursery School. I truly can’t say enough amazing things about this school, my daughter’s teachers, and the entire staff. My daughter is always so excited to go. The school is very clean and kept up. It is full of fun indoor and outdoor activities for the kids. The school also offers a hot lunch program, flexible hours, parents-night-out, parents club, activities during the holidays, amazing fundraisers, and so much more. This school is such a special place. I would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for a cute, fun, educational, and safe place to send their little ones to.
I love this school! My daughter "graduated" from here a few years ago and my son is now here and is so happy. Flexible hours to accommodate working parents, loving and caring teachers, a great playground, and reasonable cost. Whenever I pick up my son, he never wants to leave! It's play-based but their TK also prepared my daughter very well for Kinder. Super kind and welcoming parent community, too. Highly recommend this sweet neighborhood school!
We love Sherman Oaks Presbyterian Nursery School! Our 2.5-year-old daughter has thrived in their warm, loving environment with amazing teachers who truly care. While we aren’t religious, we’ve found the community to be welcoming and supportive. The play-based program fosters learning, social-emotional growth, and creativity. The warm atmosphere and dedicated staff have created a second home for her. The curriculum is mainly play-based learning and blends play and learning, fostering both academic and social skills. The teachers are nurturing and encourage creativity, which has helped my daughter thrive. At first I felt uneasy leaving my two-year -child, but they completely eased any concerns. Ms. Barbara, Ms. Gilda, and Ms. Teresa are wonderful. Communication with parents is excellent, with regular updates on progress and an open-door policy for discussions if any concerns arise. The clean, safe facilities and outdoor playtime enrich the children’s experience. They have a playground and sandbox with lots of bikes and other toys during outdoor play. Also, safety is kept in mind during outside play. Overall, SOPNS has provided a wonderful and stable foundation for my daughter’s future learning. I highly recommend it if you’re considering preschools in the area!
We love this sweet school. Our first child went for three years and loved it. Now our second is in his second year and the it's the same nurturing caring environment. They literally ask to stay longer at pickup time. Particularly I love the school's balance of early education and play - not overly rigorous but a little learning each day and keeping it fun. The staff is lovely, communicative and caring.
