We have sent two kids over the last 3 years to SOLCC and we love it. The teachers are all so wonderful. Not only are they caring with all the kids, but they are wonderful teachers. The classroom sizes are nice and small, so I feel like my kids get adequate attention. Miss Arus is the Director (she also used to be a teacher there before becoming the Director) and she is so great. Very responsive. They send updates to us parents almost daily, which is so nice. There is always a schedule of learning sent out to parents the week prior, so we know what subjects they are learning. They have music class which is included. You have the option to sign them up for soccer or dance. There are two huge playgrounds so great for the kiddos to run around, and they are covered so you don’t have to be concerned about sun burns. They also put on misters in the summer. The summer programs are also a ton of fun, they have all these activities arranged. This is a Lutheran school, so the kids do go to chapel, but it’s not rigid. They play music and make it fun. They are also very inclusive if you are not Lutheran and are very accommodating to all kiddos of different abilities. Miss Arus has been so flexible and helpful with allowing us to bring developmental therapists during school. It’s truly a blessing. The tuition is the most affordable I could find. They are transparent and listed on the website always. I can’t believe how affordable the program is and what amazing school it is. They don’t provide meals but you can purchase a hot and healthy meal through Bailee’s Plate.
I absolutely love this daycare! I actually went here myself as a toddler, and now 35 years later I get to bring my own son. It’s such a special full circle moment. I was so nervous at first since it was the first time leaving him somewhere, but they made the transition so easy and comforting. The teachers are truly wonderful, so caring, patient, and loving. Ms. Ellie is one of the sweetest humans ever, and I feel so lucky that my son gets to have her as his teacher. But honestly, every teacher there is amazing and genuinely thoughtful. Ms. Arus, the principal, goes above and beyond for both the kids and the parents. She’s always attentive and quick to help with anything, whether it’s a forgotten item or a question. What a gem! We feel so blessed to have found such a nurturing and trustworthy place for our son. It’s incredible that they’re still around after all these years, continuing to provide the same warmth and care that I remember from my own childhood!
We’ve been at SOLCC with our daughter for the past two years and this review is WAY LATE. The past two years, the teachers and director at this school has truly created a safe and family-oriented space where we have always felt welcomed. Our daughter has grown so much and we know the love and connection she has with her friends, staff and teachers contributed to this immense growth we’ve seen with her. We couldn’t have made a better choice with her preschool and you’ve helped us build an amazing community here with you all. We’ve made friends for life. We love you so much, and are so grateful. We’ll see you for a fun summer camp!
Our daughter's enthusiasm for school has been a wonderful surprise for us. Having come from an outstanding daycare that she attended until 2.5 years old, we were particularly discerning in finding a place that would match its excellence. While she outgrew the daycare, it set a high standard, and we're thrilled to say that this preschool meets and even exceeds those expectations. One aspect that has truly impressed us is the level of organization. We receive a detailed monthly calendar, giving us a clear overview of the planned activities. Additionally, the weekly curriculum emails from the teacher have been invaluable.
