Shalem is so special and we are so glad to have found it! After looking at many South Bay schools, I can't imagine our children being anywhere else. The teachers are incredibly caring, patient, and genuinely invested in each child's growth and happiness. It's clear how much they love what they do, and that care shows in the nurturing, supportive, and fun environment they create. Our children feel safe, loved, and so excited to go to school every day. Trusting anyone with my kids was a very big decision and every day I feel so grateful for my children to be cared for in such a loving way. We feel incredibly grateful to be part of such a welcoming, inclusive and loving community. This is truly a very special school, and we feel so lucky that both of our kids get to attend. The teachers are outstanding—so warm, welcoming, and genuinely invested in each student. They care about the children as individuals, not just academically. If your child needs special attention, they set time aside to ensure your child feels safe and comfortable. The community is incredibly kind and caring, and feels like an extended family. If I could, I would keep my kids here all the way through high school. We are beyond grateful for everything this school has given our family and I can't recommend it enough. Best decision our family has ever made for our children.
Shalem is a beautiful school. My daughter joined mid-year and I was worried about how she would adjust, but the teachers did a wonderful job bringing her into the classroom and introducing her to all the friends. They created a loving and warm environment. Everyday they did a different fun activity. My daughter looked forward to going everyday. This is an amazing place to send your child.
My son went to Shalem for three years, and it was an incredible experience. The teachers and administration are talented and go way above and beyond. Very grateful for this preschool and the community it creates.
I can’t say enough amazing things about this school and its staff. We have had the most amazing experience with our two kids. There is such a sense of community at this school. All the parents actually want to be your friends, not just want to see you at pickup and drop off, and are all so down to earth. Our daughter recently graduated and we still do monthly gatherings with the other families from her class. Our son recently enrolled and he is not even 2 and talks in complete sentences, cleans up after himself, and sits nicely when he eats - all things he did not do before he enrolled a few months ago - the teachers are superheroes (and so unbelievably kind!). He has advanced academically, socially, and emotionally like a rocket ship thanks to them! The school is extremely safe and has a gate that is locked except during pick up and drop off and a full time security guard. Sad that we need these extra security measures for a preschool in the day and age, but happy they are there and I feel completely comfortable and secure dropping my son off knowing he is fully safe. Other students come from all religions and backgrounds, so do not worry if you are not Jewish, there are many other families enrolled here that are just like you and love it just as much as I do, if not more! Almost half the parents I have befriended here are not Jewish or only one spouse is. I am yet to meet a family who sends their kids here that does not love it, which is rare with preschools as there are usually at least a few families that aren’t happy at a school, but this place truly is the best!! They are also extremely reasonably priced and even provide food, which makes my life so much easier! I can fully and confidently recommend Shalem to any family looking for the most wonderful preschool experience and tons of amazing, down to earth new friends!
