What Parents Say
Shady Oaks Learning Center receives overwhelmingly positive reviews praising staff dedication, low turnover, small class sizes, and a nurturing environment. However, one parent reported significant concerns about hygiene, illness frequency, meal quality, and staff communication during their experience.
Did a tour today. Before I could even enter the building, I was greeted by the sounds of children laughing and playing and genuinely being happy. The building itself is homey, comforting, and overall just feels like a perfect nurturing environment for little ones to grow, develop and feel safe in. The staff was professional with the tour, as well as thorough, and the caregivers interacted well with the children. The rooms and kitchens were clean and toys that had been in mouths were separated for sanitation. The class sizes were small. Some activities described included play time, story time, outdoor time, and in-house field trips (activities brought to the building). Classes are sorted by developmental milestones. The outdoor space was fenced in and the ground under the playgrounds cushioned with what looked like shredded tire. There were 2 playgrounds for different ages and abilities. The learning center provides daily "sunshine reports" which are tailored to developmental levels. They also have an app where parents can receive messages about their child and photo updates. The tour came with a parent policy handbook. Weekly payments are in cash or check. Card not accepted at this time.
Choosing Shady Oaks is one of the best decisions my son’s mom and I have ever made for him. The staff here are absolutely amazing and truly care about my son. If I could give this business 10 stars I would in a heartbeat. If I ever have another child they are definitely going here.
I would recommend this learning center to anyone looking in the area for daycare of children up to 5 years old. They are kind, communicative, and have a great education structure. Highly recommend 💕
My daughter went here from 10mo - 4yr and we loved it. Good care, low turnover! Definitely more Mom & Pop feel but that is why we loved it.
My daughter has been going here after a horrible experience with another daycare. She is absolutely thriving! The teachers have been there a long time, so no turnover in care which is nice. As well as being there a long time, their teacher-to-child ratio is low, so each child gets the education that you desire. No, their not high-tech with nanny cams, websites, etc. but they do business the “old way”. Doesn’t bother me one bit. Tuition is cheap, when compared to others, and they have a great educational program. My daughter is growing by leaps and bounds and is excited to go to daycare everyday. I have no complaints about the food or illnesses as another review has said. Give them a chance, and you’ll see for yourself! Love love love!
