My husband and I visited this past Sunday-Sunday after Christmas. We were visiting the area from TN and wanted to attend a worship service other than our own church-Cross Plains Tn. We enjoyed both the music and the message. However, before the service started, we wandered around, admired the beautiful manger and Christmas tree and then made our way into the sanctuary and sat down. Other than the lady greeting at the door, not one person spoke to us. Understanding how large your church is, most may not have known that was our very first time in that church building. Sadly, not only in that church, but also in many other churches- including our church- visitors are not recognized as first timers and get passed over if you will. I don’t have all the answers either, but at least you are aware. Blessings
Nice church. I’m not particularly religious but I decided to attend for the community aspect. As a veteran, I will say it is very overstimulating to be in that room with no one watching your six. If you’re a veteran, arrive early so you can post yourself at the back of the room. That way you’ll feel less like you’re in a death trap.
I visited this church for the Gerald Wolfe Gospel Music Hymn Sing on 3/27. Church Security with HCSO officers was down right awful and not friendly. They check backpacks at the doors, which I never had a church do it. My big problem was after when a couple of groups parked parallel blocking a row of handicap parking spaces and they refused to do anything. I am a disabled individual and strong disability advocate and handicap parking violators are my biggest pet peeve. It's a violation 24/7 for what those 2 buses did. It ruined the whole night. I wasted my $30 for my artist circle ticket and time. . I wouldn't recommend this church for anyone.
It was my first time going to the church It seemed very welcoming and my kids had a wonderful time watching the Christmas show.
In 2011 I was ready to be baptized at 2nd Baptist- north campus. I had an interview with a 'Pastor Q.' who decided I wasn't ready. That should be for God to decide. I left their feeling sad and embarrassed. I went to another church not long after and they were very open and willing to baptize me. I would never recommend this churches' 'holier than thou' attitude.
