Second Baptist Daycare And Development Center

We recently switched my daughter to Second Baptist after being at another center for two years. The difference is night and day in the best way possible. It is a much calmer and less chaotic environment. It is clean, safe, and my daughter is thriving. Her teachers are great and over the last month that she’s been there we can tell she is way happier and better cared for than at her previous center. Second Baptist is a real blessing to us and we are so thankful for everyone there!

I have no clue what the lower reviews are talking about. I called every daycare in the area when I was 4 months pregnant to put my name on the list. Even calling often to check in, the first available space was at SBDC when she was 6 months old. I am so happy it was!! I can't imagine her being anywhere else. My child has special medical considerations and takes medication at each meal. The staff is nothing short of AMAZING! Keyra and Lindsey are the best. My little likes a routine and they (plus a lot of her other prior teachers) stop what they are doing every morning while she busts in the office for hugs and to show her OOTD. Extra needs comes with extra paperwork, and they are always on top of it, ensuring that everything is in place so that she gets the best care possible. Her teachers communicate well! Some better than others, but that is to be expected. Regardless, we get a paper daily with her food and diaper logs. They will take the time to address your concerns and work with your child on whatever developmental step they are on. They are currently having way more success with naps than we are at home. . . . it is like they know how to take care of toddlers or something! Our first teacher, Donna, was so welcoming, reassuring, and great with communication. She knows exactly how to put a new mom at ease. It is hard to transition to your baby from being within arms reach at all times to leaving her for the day in someone else's care; talking about me, my girl was like "see ya!" The camera access was also a HUGE help for us. Donna's room is now one of the stops on the daily, morning routine for drop-off. The classes are fun and engaging. I LOVE LOVE LOVE that a lot of her teachers are bilingual so she is being exposed to multiple languages on a daily basis. They are always doing dress up days, and activities with random things from home. Daphne is over the kitchen. She knows every kid by name and they LOVE HER! My kid could be on a mission going down that hall, but if she spots Daphne, plans are cancelled. She runs to her for hugs. Daphne has always gone above and beyond to make sure that our girl has everything needed to accommodate taking her medicine throughout the day, (even when I am mom of the year and forget something crucial). I could go on and on! If you are lucky enough to get a spot at SBDC, take it and enjoy watching your baby grow knowing that they are in great hands!

Great center! We couldn’t be happier sending our son here daily. We know he is well cared for, extremely well monitored and poured into. It is well structured, well staffed and well kept. The center is always clean. The cameras are a huge bonus. It’s so nice to be able to check in and see my son playing, doing activities, etc. Not once when I have looked on the cameras have I ever seen anything even slightly questionable…to my son or any others. The center communicates well and does so many “extra” things that go above and beyond what is “expected.” SO happy with this placement for our son

Lindsey gave a phenomenal tour! It’s clear she genuinely cares about each and every child at the daycare. She took her time answering all of my questions thoroughly and made me feel confident and comfortable throughout the visit.

This daycare is AMAZING. My little brother has been there for 4+ years. Everyday he comes home and is so excited to tell us about his day and what he learned. When I come to pick him up the front desk staff are so welcoming and nice and the teachers are very helpful. The teachers explain what they are learning and how we can help our child at home. They also have helped my family a lot with keeping my brother on a set schedule.
