I am deeply troubled as a Seventh Day Adventist that the Seabrook SDA church has become more worldly. My reason for saying this is because I had been a Seventh Day Adventist all my life (59 yrs) and the church practices have changed so much in terms of the pagan practices of celebrating Christmas π. The church now displays Christmas π trees in the sanctuary which is supposed to be a holy place. If we were in Israel such pagan decorations or traditions would be considered pagan and a defilement to the temple. While I am a member there, I can not attend church during the Christmas holiday when they have the Christmas π trees displayed in the sanctuary and I am truly ashamed that the pastoral ministry allow such pagan displays to be in the sanctuary. What I find most interesting is that the Catholic Church does not put Christmas trees π² in the sanctuary because it is their belief that the sanctuary is HOLY and as such doesnβt allow for this decoration or display. I know you might say but they have graven images in the church and you would be right because according to scripture the Exodus 20:4 Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image or any likeness of anything that is in heaven above or that is in the earth beneath or that is in the water under the earth. So help me to understand if the Seabrook SDA church removed the painted picture of Jesus that was displayed on the wall when there was a baptism pool (forbidden according to scripture)then how is it different to display XMAS TREES π² in the sanctuary? I see such hypocrisy in the Seabrook SDA church for allowing church members to defile the HOLY sanctuary. The Xmas trees π² have nothing to do with Jesus birth are nothing but symbolic gestures to be associated with Jesus Christ birth but there were no Christmas trees or flashing lights or a star placed on a tree. I find it hypocritical to say to the church members that they should be paying tithes and offering and if they donβt, it is a sin but to adorn the sanctuary with Xmas trees π² isnβt. God sanctuary should be shown reverence. Iβve taken notice that the Palm Bay SDA CHURCH DOESNβT adorn the sanctuary with XMAS TREES π²AND NEITHER SHOULD THE SEABROOK SDA CHURCH. Oh how the Seabrook Church has fallen πππ
The Seabrook SDA Church offers a range of wonderful programs catering to children of all ages, fostering their spiritual growth and development. The building itself is beautiful, well-maintained, and kept impeccably clean, creating a welcoming environment for worshippers. However, it's worth noting that Seabrook SDA Church deviates from traditional SDA practices, incorporating drums into worship and diverging from hymnal singing. This deviation may not suit those seeking a more traditional experience, as the atmosphere can become lively and loud. Nonetheless, for those embracing a more contemporary approach, it fosters a perfect sense of community and inclusivity.
This church is very active in the community. They run awesome children's and youth programs. Church also runs a counseling ministry where people are able to receive several free seasons with certified counselors. So excited for our grand reopening in November 2022 where we were blessed by the band One More Block!
Attended a beautiful service, a funeral for my friend, Nina. It was absolutely breathtaking and a very wonderful way to honor her.
Today's worship service was Sabbath healing. The Spirit of the Lord moved among the believers and I felt His presence. New believers came into the fold today through baptism and the Holy Spirit mingled with us. I came for a blessing and God provided abundantly more than I could ask for. This was a warm awesome experience!
