We are incredibly grateful that this is the church where we became husband and wife; this church provided everything we were hoping for and more for our wedding ceremony. To start, the location itself is beautiful, with a natural elegance that sets the atmosphere which is both warm and reverent. It was great working with Leslie, the church coordinator: she was notably well organized and provided valuable coordination services during the ceremony, which freed up our wedding coordinators to focus on reception logistics. We also greatly appreciated Emma, the pianist at the church: Emma was so impressive in learning and perfectly playing several songs for us that were sentimental to our family and our love story and added really meaningful touches to our ceremony. Last but certainly not least, we loved that Kipp was our officiant: there is no one else like him. Despite our not having a relationship with him before choosing the church as our ceremony venue, Kip brought a warmth and kindness that made us feel instantly comfortable and blessed to have him start us on our marriage journey. Many of our friends and family who met him also commented on these qualities. We recently sat down to watch the video of our ceremony and were as touched by Kip’s beautiful sermonette as we were on our wedding day. We look forward to coming back to the church in the future and showing our children where we say our family was born.
We are so thankful for CDM Community Church Congregational and what a wonderful experience we had with our wedding! We love pastor Bob and loved meeting with him, if we didn’t move to Nevada we would have stayed with the church. Lesslie was a star in making sure everything went seamless with everything to do with the ceremony, just happy beyond words on how smoothly everything went even with little bumps in the road (I forgot my vail in the buss, had to hide coming to church from groom, he was wondering outside the grooms room. It’s such an amazing memory and I hope others will have the same amazing experience here too. We loved how charming, and beautiful the inside and outside of the church is and the photos and lighting came out perfect. Even during pandemic the church has a YouTube live channel set up so our family from back east could watch!!!
I am leaving this review as a vendor, not as a church member: I photographed a wedding at CCC on 09/14. As soon as my team and I arrived to the church, Leslie (the church coordinator) greeted us, showed us the space, and went over important ceremony information. She and her assistant were helpful and a pleasure to interact with. They ensured that the bride and groom had anything they needed while getting ready in their suites and were always nearby should any family member had any questions. The church space was impeccably clean and looked beautiful (see attached photos to admire the natural light). I highly recommend CCC to anyone looking to get married at a gorgeous church!
A beautiful church for weddings! I attended a wedding there this past weekend, and it was a fantastic experience. The space was clean, the instruments sounded great, and the overall atmosphere was perfect for such a special occasion. The only downside—and the reason for my 4-star rating—is the parking situation, which was quite challenging. Other than that, it’s a wonderful place!
A pastor should not condone sin of any type sin is not always judge immediately but continuation does bring judgement from God. Everyone who makes a practice of sinning also practices lawlessness; sin is lawlessness. 5 You know that he appeared in order to take away sins, and in him there is no sin. 6 No one who abides in him keeps on sinning; no one who keeps on sinning has either seen him or known him. 7 Little children, let no one deceive you. Whoever practices righteousness is righteous, as he is righteous. 8 Whoever makes a practice of sinning is of the devil, for the devil has been sinning from the beginning. The reason the Son of God appeared was to destroy the works of the devil. 9 No one born of God makes a practice of sinning, for God's[a] seed abides in him; and he cannot keep on sinning, because he has been born of God. 10 By this it is evident who are the children of God, and who are the children of the devil: whoever does not practice righteousness is not of God, nor is the one who does not love his brother. I am editing this by saying I spoke to the pastor three days after the initial post asking if we could discuss what is sin and the role of the pastor when I asked about how do performing same sex weddings fit in christian life . He hung up . I guess he knows there is only one acceptable reply, it don't!. If you prefer the doctrine of devils by all means continue to go here if not come out from among them
