Scottsdale Academy At Southwood

We LOVE Scottsdale! Our daughter has been in their care since she was two months old, and we have had a wonderful experience. The staff is so caring, and communicates very well, so I never worry that they are going to “miss” something. Our baby clearly loves going to school- she grins at the workers whenever we drop her off and is always in a great mood when we pick her up. Because our daughter was a preemie, she receives various therapy services (OT, PT, Speech), and Scottsdale is fantastic about letting her providers come see her at school. We would strongly recommend Scottsdale to any family looking for daycare for their child.

Scottsdale offers a happy, healthy and educational environment for young minds. My daughter has attended Scottsdale for 2 years and I have been consistently impressed with their service, communication and level of care. The staff love and care for the children like their own and my daughter finds great joy in her time spent at school. It is peace of mind sending my child somewhere I trust!

For the better part of 7 years my 2 children have been able to call Scottsdale Academy their second home. Between my 2 children, we have been in virtually every classroom and have loved every one of them. The staff are amazing people who make every effort to ensure that each day is a great one for the children. My children would come home with new songs and snippets of information that they had absorbed from their days at school and I have watched as they have thrived in Scottsdale’s caring and educational environment. The hardest thing we have to do as parents is to trust the most precious part of ourselves in the care of others and the staff at Scottsdale has made the environment one that my family has loved to be a part of.

I just dropped off my daughter for her last day at Scottsdale Academy, which she has been attending since she was 3-months old. The administrators and teachers at this school are kind, warm, and attentive. From being a new mom, leaving my infant daughter with strangers for the first time, to hugging (and frankly, crying) our goodbyes this morning, they have made my daughter and I feel welcome, valued, cared for, and loved. It’s apparent the administrators and teachers love their jobs and genuinely enjoy the children. I have never had to question, for even a moment, whether my daughter was safe or being treated well. The facility is secure, clean, organized, and well-equipped. Teachers maintain structured curriculum, communicate effectively, and make your child’s day both fun and engaging. Administrators are friendly, organized, knowledgeable, and available, anytime you have questions or need help. The owners are present, friendly, and solicit your feedback with sincere intentions of continuing to improve the experience for the children and their families. My daughter has loved attending this school and I’m confident she is well-prepared for the transition to kindergarten. She has learned how to behave appropriately in group and classroom settings, as well as play and share with others, and communicate properly and politely with adults. Her general knowledge, language and spelling, and basic math skills noticeably exceed those of friends her age, who are not enrolled at Scottsdale Academy. During the practice testing and assessment administered at Scottsdale Academy, she scored in the 99th percentile, each time. There’s no doubt Scottsdale Academy has been essential in developing her educational and social skills, and this foundation is going to serve her well as she continues to learn and grow. We have had such a wonderful experience and I will continue to recommend Scottsdale Academy to any family looking for a pre-school for their child(ren).
