Scotch Plains Montessorii

My son has been going to Scotch Plains Montessori since we moved here from NYC back in September 2024 and we are so grateful! All the teachers truly love and care for these kiddos and I get peace of mind knowing they are in good hands every day. The owner, Cristina, is also soooo knowledgeable on child development. Cristina and her team has been working with me on helping my son thrive in every aspect of his life. They make him feel safe and confident, and we are so truly grateful for this amazing team. I can’t recommend them enough! This place is more than just a daycare. Your kid will be safe and loved by everyone here.

We are incredibly grateful to the Scotch Plains Montessori team for taking care of our Avery for 3 years, fulltime. In parent years, that is a lot of valuable support. The teachers connected with her on a nurturing and educational level. We value SPM’s intimate setting, their balance between independent play and teacher lead instruction, customizable lessons, and the interaction between all age groups. I will never forget the support we received when our girl fractured her arm or when we needed to jump in last minute this past summer. The team keeps parents engaged with volunteer opportunities and will host family events. We are truly grateful that our daughter started here. The team’s passion truly shines. Thank you SPM for all of your care and always prioritizing safety.

Although I don’t have children enrolled at Scotch Plains Montessori School, I’ve had the privilege of getting to know the school, the owners, and the work they do in the community. It’s clear that this is not just a school, it’s a place built on care, dedication, and a genuine passion for children’s growth and development. The owners are warm, thoughtful, and fully invested in creating an environment where kids can thrive. Every conversation I’ve had about the school reflects their commitment to excellence, from the way they approach early childhood education to how they support families and staff. Even from an outside perspective, it’s easy to see why so many parents trust Scotch Plains Montessori. It’s a nurturing, well-run, and inspiring place for children to learn and grow.

My son attended SPM for a year as his introduction to school and socialization with peers. The Director and teachers embraced him with such care, compassion, and met him where he was developmentally. I love that they did not have a one size fits all approach to teaching the students. While at SPM, my little one made such wonderful strides with his milestones and looked forward to attending daily. I've been taking school pictures here for about 4 years, and have some friends who have children who went here and they do an outstanding job. I recently had my first graduating class that I've known since they entered the schools program and watching them grow up and develop through the lessons and experiences they have SPM, it was sad to see them go but amazed how much they've grown as little kids. Highly suggest for children of your own!
