Schuylkill Ymca Sacc Mahanoy Area Elem. School

The staff say no bullying but the kids get away with everything, I was a student there and I got attacked twice in 2 weeks and they did nothing. One only got a detention for a day after school and the other had to just write an apology note because she was special Ed, as she gave it to me said she isn't sorry! I had to go to a doctor both times!

Teachers are very rude ,and do not take the time or effort to actually teach a Student they just say “Do you work it’s on the board “! I believe asking if a student needs help or asking if they understand is so important not just teaching And thinking they understand and writing do your work on the board then handing them a test . No patience with students as a actual teacher you need to pick a different field .. especially kids who’ve been thru trauma they are not focusing like normal students no compassion for anything in this school again teachers are rude and disrespectful it does not seem like they care for students to actually learn I feel like it’s just a paycheck nothing more nothing less .. what a shame do better for our future doctors lawyers TEACHERS! Etc … it’s just sad .

The school district literally ignores the kids that are abused at home and refuses to call CYS on the family. Yet I have known people that the school called CYS on simply because they claim that children that do cyberschool are in danger. The elementary school uses threats to small children that they can have their cop arrest them for not listening. Oh and don't get me started about their special education department. That is a scam. I literally saw a teacher sitting on her phone while these poor kids were supposed to watch a gorilla documentary. They don't care about kids at this school because if they did, there would not literally be homeless kids that were thrown out by their dad still going to that horrible school. They need to do their job and protect the kids that they swear to care about.

Not good school last time there was a bomb threat good thing is we left early but so much students were crying in the hideout. I was gonna leave the group if it wasn't for my stuff being left there. Some kid forgot his keys and phone in the classroom. Just too much! Everyone was so stressed and it might just be some little kid who did a prank! And there is barely any soccer being done!?!?! Whata is dis bruh. Also the food is just like any other public american school sometimes we have pizza but everyone else have cheese and my chese is gone! OH NO SOMEONE PLS SOMEONE PPLS HELPPPP

Great baseball and softball fields. The school has a wonderful spot to host games and there is a lot of room for spectators to enjoy the games on their teams side. I do not recommend parking behind the baseball/softball fields though, a few foul balls hit cars today.😱
