I enjoyed my time at Schoolcraft College. I went for the name I was starting a curriculum company. My 20s were fun it was all going to workout till things went another direction… The people were nice. I enjoyed the friendships from my time spent there. I got hold of something interesting and someone interfered. It was taken away.
It’s all about the money!!! My daughter was kicked out of online class by the professor. She called advisor and was told they never do that . She was kicked out after 2nd class, the third class tried to sign on and was already kicked out. Made a claim and of course they denied it and kept her money. It’s always the students fault. , never the schools fault.
This school is fantastic. They have the resources for when you struggle, the teachers are very knowledgeable on the material they teach, and the labs are truly amazing. The only thing I hate is that if you don't live in Livonia, you have to pay extra to attend. Overall, great school! Radiology Technologist program is very organized.
I'm going back to school at 60. Everyone was helpful EXCEPT the accounting department. My company helps pay for classes. I was told I needed my voucher before the three days after registering for classes. I look on their site and I still owe. I assumed that they didn't get it. I called and they did not explain (waited 25 minutes on hold). I eventually drove up there (another 25 minutes). I was told they got my information for the voucher, even though it's not showing up. I wait two days and my classes still aren't paid. I call again. Guess what? I was finally told that it doesn't show up for about three weeks. I can still go to classes. Was i told this? No the first time. No the second time. No the third time. Why would they not explain this when I asked how to go about paying with my voucher? Because they don't care. They don't care that I wasted my time and gas. They don't care that I thought I couldn't attend classes till they were paid. School craft needs to do an overhaul in their accounting department.
I just wanted to update this. I am about to graduate from this place and this review still holds true. It’s never the schools fault it's always yours even when they screw up. I'm all for being held responsible but at no point did the school ever except responsibility for there screw ups. For example I got a check In the mail from the government and they sent it back after I continuesly tried to claim the funds and instead of listening and understanding they escalated the situation, so I brought in a campus officer to oversee the conversation and make sure everyone felt safe. They reported me anyway. After I met with the resource counselors I excepted that the funds were not accessible to me anymore. So I asked for confirmation showing they sent it back to my Pell Grant in which they gave me more excuses. Overall this school will lie and cheat instead of making things right I advise you not to come here because. (Original review) They are Absolutely no help at all. They preach understanding and compassion. Yet, the counselors have a tendency to point you in the wrong direction every time. If you’re looking to continue your education I would look elsewhere because, Schoolcraft is a wast of your time and money. I recommend focusing that energy on a school that actually cares about you and your education. I’ve talked to many other students and this is the consensus. I go to this school and I wish I had more positive things to say but at the end of the day, this is the truth. So, Good luck to you and your future. I hope this helps. P.S I also tried to start a swim and dive program, but the people in charge of the pool chose to Deny it because all they want is money. I would have loved to talk to the Dean but he was uninvolved.
