Very nice daycare center. My baby attends the infant class. The room is very spacious, with plenty of room for infants to explore and play. The teachers are wonderful. They are loving and attentive. My baby was having diarrhea for a while because of the formula we gave him, so he developed some diaper rash. The teachers there changed the diapers so frequently (about every hour), and my baby recovered well. Even when the diaper rash was gone, they kept doing it. We have to tell them to stop changing diaper frequently. My baby is happy there.
My son started in the school is cool toddler room one year ago (Marion St location) and just recently transitioned to the older toddler room at the Beacon Street location. He had been at home with my parents before starting daycare and I was nervous to enroll him anywhere. However, from the very beginning, the wonderful staff at Marion Street treated him with such love and care that I felt as though I was still dropping him off with family. He is a very curious and active child. His teachers kept him busy through play (indoors and outdoors) as well as stimulated with a variety of lessons and activities. He also learned various self help skills and basic routines that carried over into our home. When I look back at pictures from one year ago it’s hard to believe how much he’s grown. I will be forever grateful for the loving care given to my son here. I look forward to another year watching him grow at School is Cool.
My daughter first started at this daycare when she was 17 mos. old. As a first time mom I had never been more nervous, but with the amazing staff and the way they cared for my child, I could not have asked for better care than had she been with me! When I had my second daughter, I had to quickly get back to work and trust School is Cool with my 7 week old. She is now 2 and a half and will spend the rest of her years until it's time for K here. The caregivers treated and continue to treat my child like their own. I have recommended School is Cool to many of my friends and family (all of whom can vouch for these facts). School is Cool is the best!
I have known this child care for many years. My son started going to School is Cool daycare since he was 12 months old. He loved it! He stayed in the daycare until he turned five years old and went to kindergarten. He enjoys the indoor and outdoor areas and the company of other children. I really liked how there were children of many different ages. My son learned how to be kind and careful around the younger kids. He had many incredible friendships with the other children. The teachers care a lot about the children. The teachers are showing a lot of love and foster friendships with other kids. My son really enjoyed all of the projects and activities that happen there. My son is always happy to go to school! I am so grateful for them and would highly recommend anyone to go!
We are completely happy with School is Cool. We visited over a half dozen other daycares in the Boston area, and this was the stand-out school which we felt totally at ease leaving our son with them. We've always felt comfortable and safe leaving our son with the teachers. The days have structure and schedules; and the activities are age appropriate. Weather permitting, they get the children outdoors daily, and dress them properly. The teacher-to-student ratio is good, meaning that no child is left unsupervised. They do a wonderful job ensuring that our son eats/drinks/has on a clean diaper/etc. Our son started in the infant room at 3 months old, and has recently moved up to the toddler room at 16 months. They gave him a transition period to ease him into the new routine and he has enjoyed the changes. Having now seen both rooms and our son's progression within School is Cool, I have no problem highly recommending this day care.
