School For Young Children

Incredible place filled with caring, wonderful people. Our kiddo had a great time from 1-3 and we sadly had to move away, but we wish we could've taken SYC with us. Wonderful owner and great teachers.

School for Young Children has been an absolutely wonderful place to have my son. He is a very sensitive child who is slow to warm up to new situations. They have been kind, empathic, and developmentally appropriate in their interactions with him. He loves school! I cannot imagine a better place for my child to begin his early educational experiences. In fact, he often talks fondly about his teachers at home and we consider them part of our extended family.

I can’t say enough good things about School for Young Children or their amazing teachers. Our daughter has been going there full time for a year, since she was about 18 months old, and she absolutely loves it every single day. They’ve helped her become more confident, coordinated, outgoing, and well spoken. Every afternoon, she tells us about the stories she was read, the songs she sang, the art she made, and the games she played. She’s even taught us a couple new songs! I couldn’t ask for a better place for our daughter. She even asked when she was going back during a recent trip to Disney! I would recommend it to anyone, whether or not they “need” daycare because of work, school, or anything else. It’s a wonderful, safe place for children to socialize, learn manners, and expand their imaginations. The teachers are intelligent, well trained, alert, and extremely nice. The facilities are clean and well maintained; they’re great at keeping us up to date with what’s going on through e-mail, newsletters, and Facebook; and, their special activities like art shows, holidays, and field trips are always fun!

I have to disagree with these reviews. I chose to relocate my child here because of biting issues...problem solved. These folks are extremely educated about early childhood learning, and it shows in what they do. It's definitely expensive...but it's worth every penny I spend. I view it as an investment. Could I put my child somewhere else where he is just watched for the period of time I'm at work. Yes. But I want my child to learn, be engaged, and grow. That's what I pay for and receive. These people get it. The staff holds higher education degrees. I'm a believer. Also, they are incredibly flexible when it comes to working with you in pretty much any situation. Finally, I am there at a variety of hours and they really go out of their way to keep the facility very clean. Most people probably don't see that because of a set pickup schedule. Very cool place and I'm proud to have my child attend. As with most early learning centers, I think parents have to decide their comfort level with staff/facility. But I found it to be a very easy decision to make to send my child here. I'm a complete believer. So are the others whose children attend.
