What Parents Say
Schein Bright Academy receives mixed reviews with significant concerns about management and staff stability. While some parents praise child care quality and fair pricing, multiple reviewers report serious issues with administrative handling of behavioral problems, high staff turnover, poor communication between shifts, and staff who are dismissive of parental concerns.
I would not suggest sending your children here. Some of the teachers are okay, but the way the administration handles situations is terrible. My daughter was bit several times by the same child. After talking to other parents, I had found out their children had been bit as well. I reached out to admin hoping to find a solution and instead I received the exact opposite and actually just withdrew my daughter from there. Apparently they would rather keep the kids that injure other children and teachers(he was hitting teachers as well) rather than keep the decent ones. I was told it was completely normal behavior for 3-4 years to bite, especially when they are struggling to express their emotions and they are working on it. I was also told that if I could just see the good in how well my daughter treated him and included him in things, it would make my heart happy. Excuse me? Since when are we trying to teach our daughters to treat people good that hurt you? The fact that my daughter treated him so nice makes me even more upset that this behavior was allowed.
Teachers seem to care about the kids for the most part but there is a VERY high turnover rate. Seem to have a handful of teachers that stay but other than that they rotate staff quite a bit. Morning staff and evening staff don’t seem too I communicate so if you’re picking up in the afternoon or evening after morning staff leave it’s hard to know how the morning went. Prices raise every year without a lot of improvements to equipment and there are always a ton of issues with whoever does their billing.
When my kids were little, they went here. I had a hyper 3 year old at the time and I would always say to him "be careful or you're going to crack your head open" when he would be doing something dangerous. There was one incident where he was under the table and they asked him to get out he in turn asked "I crack my head?" and they actually accused a 3 year old of calling them a crackhead and kicked him out for it. They also said that they didn't have enough staff to deal with "hyper kids like him". The staff was always rude, short and unwilling to listen to any concerns. If you have slightly hyper toddler boys DO NOT SEND YOUR KIDS HERE. THEY DONT WANT TO DEAL WITH THEM.
You get what you pay for. They have one good teacher but other than that they are glorified babysitters with minimal to no childcare education. Administrator thinks she knows better than the kids own parents. She didn’t even want to move my daughter up to the next class until I asked because of her own personal reasons. So many “teachers” in 18 months. I’d be cautious sending your kid here.
My child is always cared for and nurtured at Schein Bright. They really keep the kiddos engaged and their pricing is very fair.
